“Fun and learning experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

I enjoyed the entire experience. The buildings were laid out very well. There were opportunities in the rain forest area and in the freshwater building for interactive experiences with the fish

“Great aquarium but very expensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

I went with my brother and great Neice and 4 year old daughter while visiting in town. It cost $9 to park, and lunch was about $25 for just chicken nuggets, hotdogs, and nachos, I recommended going to Buffalo Wild Wings behind the aquarium instead. It is $25 for adults and $15 for kids older than 3. There are two buildings and you can spend most of the day touring them both. If it wasn't such a good aquarium I would say it wasn't worth it, but especially when it's cold and rainy, it's a great place to go.

“The Real Jewel of Chattanooga”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

The Tennessee Aquarium is "the must see attraction in Chattanooga." The aquarium doubled in size in the last few years and now offers a giant multilevel fresh water display which begins with a walk through an out door stream area featuring wildlife from Tennessee and winds its way to the lower level featuring all types of water creatures in addition to the expected fresh water fish. The second building houses the saltwater aquarium and includes a penguin tank that will entertain children and adults for quite a time. Our favorite part of the exhibits were the sea dragons. These seahorse like creatures look like half animal / half seaweed and glide through the water with such grace. This complex is a full afternoon of educational entertainment and will not disappoint even disinterested teenagers.
