Normally, I find Hampton Inn properties decent. The Hampton Bristol is an exception. First, this property is located between two noisy freeways. The building is inadequately insulated from sound....you will hear every passing truck as if you were outside. The principal cause is cheap windows with bad seals. The rooms are small and the bathroms worn out. I rented three rooms, for my party of four...nobody slept well. If you want to get something to eat, you will have to drive 5-7 miles as there is nothing nearby. For me....after being on the road all day, the last thing I want to do is spend another 30 minutes in the car. I travel for weeks at a time. The ultimate inconvenience was when I went to find the guest laundry. Remarkably, this Hampton Inn has no guest laundry. I was caught outdoors early in the day during a rain storm. My garmets and those of my party were soaking wet....and due to the lack of a guest laundry, I checked out with wet clothes. The Hampton Inn management team should attend to this gross shortcoming. I am certain the hotel staff take a lot of needless flak over what is clearly a failure at the management level. The staff is friendly and attentive.
