The Panorama is a little more plush than the average restaurant in St George South, it has a great location looking out across the sea. The food was quite good although a bit "tourist" Greek, and was tasty with good portions. However for us it was let down by the service and an apparent lack of Greek warmth and friendliness. It was the only place we felt we were being pounced on as soon as we stopped outside to look at the menu, but as we intended to try it out anyway we went in. Throughout the time we were there we were not given any time to sit and enjoy the view or just chat etc.. We felt continually rushed by the waiters, whether it was asking if we'd finished the second we put our cutlery down, clearing the table in a rush and asking what we wanted without time to peruse the menu fully. They didn't seem to be particularly friendly, and despite the great location it lacked the ambience normally associated with Greek restaurants. It was also the only one that didn't give us any customary treats at the end. Not that it particularly bothered us, but it is a nice touch. Others in St George gave you a plate of fruit or a glass of liqueur after the meal..The prices seemed a little on the high side although not excessively.
I emphasise that the food was fine and the location etc. was good perhaps we caught them on an off day.
