“Great buffalo dog; the rest was average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

The cafe is very convenient if you are already touring Wall Drug and it is good enough as far as the food goes. The buffalo dog was excellent, the cheeseburger tasted like a freezer burger with cheese added after it was cooked and the veggie burger was average. The fries were quite good. Prices were higher than expected but the facility was very well decorated and clean.

“Worth a stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Interesting stop. Something for everyone. Had the roast beef/gravy sandwich, a large portion. Should have split it and enjoyed a piece of pie with ice cream.

“A big disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

After driving across South Dakota and seeing the billboards for hundreds of miles, we were sorely disappointed. We try to avoid chain restaurants on vacation, so we came to Wall Drug for dinner.
The front side was crowded, noisy and we didn't see any good food options. We went to the back side and decided to split a turkey sandwich, side salad and onion rings. All of the food was satisfactory. We saw them loading up bags of leftover doughnuts and wondered if they gave them to a food pantry or warmed them the next day.
Decided we had to have the famous 5 cent coffee, which tasted like it had been brewed and kept warm since the day before---it was very bitter and was spit back into the cup and thrown away.
We went to the DQ for dessert.

“Neat place but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

The store takes up about a city block. It is rustic looking on the outside. This is really a mini mall in one store and you can find just about anything but everything is way overpriced. However, no visit would be complete without visiting this store.
