“It was okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

We combined a medical and pleasure trip. The hotel was okay. It met the wants of my child to have a fun pool. The pool was loud, even past pool hours, but that's the fault of parents not the hotel. Overall, it was an average stay.

Thank you for your comments; should you visit again for medical please ask for our Front Office Manager Kathy to book your accommodations, I am sure we can do a good job of getting you placed in a better spot to meet your needs. Also if you were not aware, we do have courtesy shuttle. Many families coming for medical appreciate that so they can go in shifts and not worry about a vehicle.

I hope we see you again!

I found Janet W's review VERY helpful (July 10th, similar title - also read Rm Tips). I'm glad I read reviews before making reservations. My experiences with this hotel were almost identical to Janet's, except thanks to her and other reviewers, I was successful getting adjoining rooms on the 1st floor near an entrance. This hotel is huge so if walking is an issue, ask to be near an entrance. We did have a 2nd door in our room that opened into the pool area, but the noise wasn't too bad (esp with the AC on!). We were traveling with an elderly parent and no children so we didn't need the water park aspect. The price was good ($107+tax for a K) and easy access on and off the freeway. Hotel is older but rooms were clean and well maintained. Shower was great, bed was adequate. Free bags of ice in restaurant for people with coolers so no lack of ice for the rest of us (nice!). Didn't use the bar but it was nice to have it and a restaurant in the hotel after a long day of driving. Being a very family-friendly hotel, many children in the restaurant too. The food there was good and reasonably priced, but only one waitress. However, "Sarah" did a good job taking care of us. I would stay here again if price was good but not my first choice since we're empty-nesters...a great hotel for families.

Beds were not comfortable, kids liked the pool water park, but the use was heavy, staff at front desk was very helpful and friendly. The internet access was fine and the suite we had fit my wife and three boys just fine, would not eat at the hotel restaurant, went for dinner and waited over five minutes for server to come and I asked him how long is the wait for the food (my family was hungry) and he said he didn't know, so I made a decision to leave and go some where else, went to the front desk and asked an employee where was the best area in town to find more places to eat and they were very helpful and we were glad we went some where else.

Thank you for your comments, and I apologize we didn't answer better in the Maple Street Café', there surely was a better answer. And our food is good, fair priced and kids eat for .99, I am sorry we missed to opportunity to prove that to you.

I hope you try us again so we can turn this negative into a positive.

Sincerely,

Our first stay here and we found the hotel excellent. The staff was caring and service fast. The room was extremely clean and well manicured. We will make this our yearly stopping point from here on out. Very impressed!

We stayed three nights in this older hotel, rates were reasonable, staff wonderful. We would stay again, but with a few changes. Check-in was easy and welcoming, Brady was the best check-in host ever! We adored him; he was helpful and offered up good conversation. Special request for companion rooms were honored. Our rooms were huge, beds were comfortable. We had some troubles getting into our room, as another traveler noted. The pool area is a big draw for families, travelers need to be mindful of their needs to make the best of their stay. We enjoyed watching the children in the pools below. Pool area is open until 10, this might bother some travelers who are seeking quiet, so you might want to ask for rooms away from the pools. Air was faintly reminiscent of chlorine from the pools, we were fine with it, but travelers with respiratory issues may want rooms not connected with the pools. We were on the second floor and stairs were difficult to navigate with luggage for my father, as there are no elevators. If you have difficulty with luggage you will want a lower room. The bar in the hotel is welcoming and you can eat food, as well. The hotel restaurant was not very welcoming. Our waitress was not very friendly and unprofessional with us and the tables near us. Overall, this was a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the pool are quieter, with less chlorine smell.

Thank you for the very detailed post! I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry we didn't communicate well about the location of the elevator, it's right behind the front desk at the end of the hall. Also we'll be adding a second this fall. I do hope we see you again.

What a great clean hotel. Rooms were huge. Out door pool was super and the indoor water park was great for the little ones. Check in was very easy. Loved the out door pool. It was very neat and warm. The indoor pool is great if you have little ones. Staff was very welcoming. The only issue we had was that the air bed we got went flat overnight. Must of had a small leak. You could rent a movie and the city was close by if you wanted to go and explore. Lots of parking.

Loved the pools for my granddaughters and daughter. We had a girls week-end and loved it. The front desk staff rescued a bad reservation and made the mistake as if it never happened. My family loves this place and will use it again for family reunions.
