I'm not too picky of a traveler, so I don't expect the Ritz everywhere. But this hotel had it's plusses and minuses, overall a good stay. It is located just off of the I-29/I-94 junction. It is located by a truck stop and have to drive buy an open field filled with garbage that might give one a bad impression when driving in.
-Booked the room on hotwire, with a little research I knew which hotel I was getting and that the location was on the outskirts of Sioux Falls. Got a very reasonable rate.
-Check in was very friendly, had me in a double bed room but put upon my request put me in a king room. Very nice, they aren't obligated to do that.
-Room size - ended up with a very spacious king room. Overlooked an empty field and I-29, but no big deal
-Pool - empty when we went in, a bit small but with nobody else there it was perfect for us. Hot tub was a nice temperature as well
-Breakfast - very good. I happened to go down at a busy time but a staff member was doing her best to keep things well stocked. I heard somebody complain about them being out of regular coffee but I think it was re-filled in no time - the things people complain about.....
-Location, but it's really not that far of a drive to restaurants, downtown, the falls, etc. I wouldn't worry about it if you are thinking of staying here
-The heater/AC unit........ugh, the only bad thing. We got back to the hotel a bit late and it turned out the heater pings and pangs like a bad radiator on an old car. A little difficult to switch rooms or get repaired late at night, so we put up with it. I would have shut it off, but my fiancee doesn't like a cold room. Made for kind of a lousy night of sleep, but not the end of the world.
