“Really nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

This was a really nice hotel and a great value. Everything we saw looked clean and fresh. The room was nice and big and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and since we got in really late it was great that it was still available at 9:30.

We would definitely stay here again!

For someone who used to stay at the Brimark while traveling on business but since retirement hasn't stayed there for years and years, my recent stay there was a trip back in time. However back-in-time does not apply to today's Brimark because the new owners have made the old Brimark a new hotel in everything except the outside architecture. When checking in it was a trip to the past - front desk person courteous, friendly and efficient - as was the staff back then. We were impressed by the hallways, of all things, because the carpet, walls and ceiling were clean and that cleanlliness carried over to the room. The rooms are all obviously remodeled and refurbished and although the rooms are today-hotel-narrow there is adequate room for two beds, desk, refrigerator, coffee maker, TV and stand, etc. The beds are great, the sheets good, three pillows and all that stuff. Heating worked well. Noise was not a problem. Carpets good, tile in bathroom clean, bathroom is good shape. Breakfast was the usual but good, made so by a very attentive Brimark employee. Checkout was quick. Rates great - quite competitive - and location is far enough from the Interstate to avoid road noise. No problem getting from the Brimark to the Mall or downtown or medical facilities.

Thank you and Thank you again. It is such a pleasure to hear we are doing a good job. I gathered the houskeepers together this morning and had them read yours and several others reviews. It is our wonderful staff, who work so very hard, that supply our clean rooms and great customer service. We have many more future plans for the property so come often and enjoy!

We are doing the park and fly at this hotel. Very nice, clean and newly remodeled hotel. I booked online and thought it may not be the best place to stay due to the remarkably low price but I am totally astounded at what a good value this is. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to their guests, treating everyone that walks through the door with such friendliness. The free breakfast was amazing and that employee was also very helpful to all the people eating there while we were there. My daughter and family are flying to see us this winter and I have already informed her that this is the place they will want to stay. Such a pleasure to find such wonderful customer service here when it sometimes seems to be a thing of the past. Definitely worthy of an A++++ rating.

The check-in process was simple and fast and the clerk was very friendly. The sign upon arrival claims under new ownership and remodeled. Was a little discomforting to see that the security doors on the outer entrances were unlocked even after dark but the hallways and area is well lit. The room itself was clean and appeared to be newly remodeled. The bed was very comfortable as well. There was a refrigerator in the room but no microwave. The carpeting was new and very comfortable to walk on. I didn't notice any external noise from other rooms, outside or the hallways which was very nice. The bathroom had marble floors which was very cold on bare feet in the middle of the night. The shower head was new and had great pressure; however, the tub had a slow drain which caused water to pool on your feet which was a little irritating (yes that is one of my pet peeves). The bathroom sink hot water knob was frozen shut and would not turn at all. The breakfasts was good with waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the other usual Continental breakfast items. An attendant was present to assist if needed. The waffles were good. The room overall was very nice and would stay here again as the issues with the bathroom are hopefulliy isolated and not in every room. I also liked the individual thermostat on the wall instead of a window heater/A/C unit.

Thank you so much for the great review. We are working very hard to make this an outstanding property. I am not sure what happened that the doors were not locked as we do keep them locked ,except the front door, 24 hrs a day. possibly a glitch but we did check it out. It is the all concrete construction that makes the rooms so quiet you do not hear footsteps overhead etc. Hope to see you again soon.

We have always loved staying here. It is the best value in the city. The rooms were always very nice and clean. Now they are just fantastic. The Brimark just finished a major remodeling of their rooms and I am so impressed. King size bed, leather club chair with hassock, flat screen TV. A very nice free breakfast and great internet service. We will keep coming back.

Room Tip: Ask for the king size bed with the leather club chair (room 159). I could live here it's so pre...

I've stayed in 4 * hotels that weren't as nice as this one. This hotel has been recently remodeled & is beautiful. The colors are really warm & inviting & the rooms are large with nice lamps, an easy chair & desk. The bathroom was very nice too. The bed was very comfortable & the pillows were fluffy. I wish I had taken pictures to share. The lobby has easy chairs & a fireplace & sets the tone for the rest of the hotel. There is a courtyard that is probably very nice in the spring & summer. The continental breakfast had a good selection, including waffles, bisquits & gravy, cereal, etc. The staff was very nice & helpful.

Thank you for the very nice review. So happy you had a great stay. We have many more exciting plans yet to come. We are now remodeling all the bathrooms and doing some interesting wall decor in the hallways. The old plumbing has been an ongoing problem that we are addressing and do apologise to anyone that has experienced slow drains etc.

I had reviewed the Brimark Inn once before, with different owners/management.

I had good things to say about it before, but the new owners have taken this property to the next level (which was needed).

There are no more physical, metal keys for the rooms... The rooms have been renovated with flat screen TVs, new beds, etc.

The front desk staff, as before, were very friendly.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but, as always, the inside is super clean... And the price is still right.
