I was in Sioux Falls for work and was fortunate to spend time at this hotel. What a gem. I typically stay downtown when I go to SF for work and have never been very impressed with the hotels. However, now, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
Room: The absolute best bed in downtown Sioux Falls. The minute my head hit the pillow, I was out. The bathroom had ample space for toiletries/products, good lighting (important to me as some hotels have extremely poor lighting in the bathroom which makes getting ready a mess). Amenities included Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator.
Check in: No issues. It's a new hotel so the phone was ringing off the hook but the staff did a great job of tending to everything.
Store: There is a little shop that is well stocked - assorted medicines (headache/cold/stomach), snacks, protein bars and soups. The frozen section had frozen meals and ice cream and, finally, any drink you could ever want - protein shakes, teas, sodas and water. Very convenient to have this on site. They also sold starbucks and hot chocolate Keurig containers in case you want something different from what is offered complimentary in your room.
Gym: Awesome gym! 2 Precor treadmills, 2 Precor ellipticals and 1 Precor recumbent bike, free weights, cable station, one multi angle bench, floor mats and medicine balls. If you have to stay downtown, and like to workout, this is the hotel for you.
Food: There is a restaurant on site that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. I only had breakfast - it's a little confusing because the signs say "buffet" but, in reality, you have to let the waitress know your order (hot items such as eggs/bacon/french toast/pancakes etc). Cold items such as fruit and pastries/oatmeal and cereal are offered in a buffet style. I ordered a veggie/ham omelette with bacon and it was tasty.
The lobby: Gorgeous. I didn't hang out but there were many people in the bar/seating area.
I am so glad they opened this hotel in downtown Sioux Falls. It will definitely make my trips up there more enjoyable.
