We had the opportunity, thankfully, to stay at the Country Inn & Suites in downtown Sioux Falls for five nights this past week because of the damage done to our power supply as a result of the devastating ice storm that hit Sioux Falls.
The staff (Mary Beth, Sam, Amber, Kerry and Kathie with morning breakfast each day) were fabulous. It was a stressful situation for us and surely for the staff as they had to accommodate so many storm victims, work crews and the guests who had long before the storm made reservations for the week we stayed with them. They handled it with professionalism, efficiency and aplomb. Thanks so much to them for all they did to accommodate us and to make our stay so comfortable under the circumstances (of us being out of our element, off our routine and out of sorts). Thanks again to each and everyone of them.
The facility was great. It was warm, safe, comfy and wonderful for being easy to access and easy to come and go from as we went back and forth from our home to check on it, manage what we could (given we had no power) and to keep some anchor to at least a bit of our routine.
We would easily and gladly stay with these folks again although we would prefer it be a stay of our choice instead of a necessary stay due to storm damage and problems.
We wholeheartedly advocate this facility as a great place to stay at any time and for any occasion. Thanks again to everyone connected to our stay and our issues with the ice storm.
