We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in January 2013. It was nothing but problems. The temperature control system was very poor--even on cool in the middle of January it couldn't bring our room below 72.
The next problem we had was with the key reader on our door. It stopped working halfway through our stay and since the maintenance man wasn't in on the weekends, we had to move to a different room. Big pain in the butt when you are traveling with kids and pets. The woman at the front desk was not apologetic, rather rude, and acted like it was no big deal.
Then the room we were relocated to didn't even have a shower curtain! We showered there anyway, but jeez....if you are paying 100+ dollars a night you expect a damn shower curtain.
On the last morning of our stay I went to do laundry in the guest laundry facilities. The soap dispensers were both out of order so I had to go down to the front desk to buy the soap. After I transferred the clothes to the dryer, they only became wetter and wetter. All of the dryers were broken. We ended up having to bring wet clothes across town to the laundromat.
When we got our bill on the final day we noticed that there was a 7.95/night "resort fee" attached to the bill. We had never been notified of this orally or in writing prior to getting the bill. They just went ahead and charged our credit card for it. I understand that the reason there is a resort fee is that there's a water park attached, but at that rate, it would be cheaper to pay the non-guest fee to use the water park and stay some place cheaper.
The rooms were rather un sound proof. Didn't bother us because we sleep heavily, but you can hear the neighbors and everybody in the hallways at all times.
We were looking forward to a couple of relaxing days here halfway through our move out west, but all we got was headaches, annoyances, and extra charges.
