“Staff is RUDE”

Staff is Rude,(Sarcasm should not be part of the check in process) Rooms could be cleaner, breakfast is below average. Never greeted as a Diamond Member. Refrigerator froze my medication (yes, I turned the temp. down before putting my meds in there) Did I mention that the staff is rude?

We stayed in 7 different hotels on our trip, but this one was our favorite.Traveled there for Sturgis Bike Week. When we arrived early before check in, Katie, was fantastic, she literally ran up to the 2nd floor and caught the maids before they went for lunch to do a quick clean on our room so we could drop our off our gear. They offered us free tubs of ice packed bottled water, a bike wash station and an evening bar outside for the guests to socialize. I know there may have been an emphasis on the bike week clientelle, but after watching Katie and the rest of the staff take care of everyone with the same courtesy and business acumen that we were shown, it was clear that it was how they operated. I would Definiteley stay here when we come back in 2015 !

Excellent front desk staff, attentive, responsive. Housekeeping staff neeed coaching.Left the room in diserpair, stated erason was items lef ton bed. Reality was items left in grabage, beer cans left, etc. But the hotel staff responded with alacrity and resolved all the issues to our satisfaction. I used Hilton Honours points to stay here for the Sturgis bike event and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel got into the spirit (can't same the same for Rapid City, alone among SD towns) and hosted a beer stand, provided a bike wash area, pylonned off asection of the lot for bikes, provided free water for the bikers and all guests. Again, the stellar cast at the desk!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was a nice location and very close to the places we were seeing while in town. I would recommend staying here for anyone. I don't think I have ever really had a bad experience yet using Hampton. You can pretty much bet on the name.

Both the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden are part of the Hilton chain. If you look online at both in Rapid City, the Hampton appears nicer but don't be deceived. The Hilton Garden actually cost us less and we had a much better stay there than at the Hampton Inn. Directions to the Hampton Inn are difficult, it is noisier and busier and the staff was not nearly as friendly and helpful as at the Hilton.

We enjoyed our stay very much here. Cookies and lemondae along with a friendly smile from Katie and the manager made the stay better. Breakfast was very big the pool was a lot of fun for the kids. Clean room and building was also nice. We will stay again

We were very disappointed in our stay this past weekend. We have stayed in many Hamptons and the MAIN reason we stay at them is they are always a GREAT hotel...Well not this one. Huge disappoint! When reserving our room we picked Hampton even though it was going to add 100.00 to our stay but we thought "Hamptons are always very nice so it will be worth it". NO it was not. When arriving at 4:30 (check is at 3) and they said our room was just being finished, we walked up to the room (3 kids and an adult --other adult was unloading the car) and they were not finished, they were still cleaning and towels were all over the floor, garbage was everywhere. We walked back down to the lobby and she called up and they said they were just vacuuming there way out. (I didn't think that could be possible with what I had just saw but ok) We go up unload get all settled and realize they didn't clean the bathroom. There was dirty towels and used soap in the shower. And the tub looked horribly dirty. That night when putting our kids to bed, we needed an extra blanket, so we asked the front desk and they said they'd bring one right up(At 8:15 pm). About 30 minutes later (8:45) they call the room and the cleaning crew didn't do laundry so they just put the blankets in the dryer. It was going to be 30-45 minutes until it was done. (Which would put it at 9:15-9:30) We have 3 little kids who need to go to bed when we asked for the blanket so we had to pull the blanket off the bed we were planning on sleeping in and give it to them until the extra arrived. Finally at 10:10 the blanket it done! We waited almost 2 hours for the blanket to get done! And after a LONG day of driving we as adults were ready for bed and had to stay up until it finished! The next morning when we left we told them about the bathroom and asked to have it cleaned before we returned and thankfully it was! And we had no real problems (THANKFULLY) that day. But the next day we didn't tell them to clean the room (we kind of thought with all the problems it was a given) but no. We returned that night and they did not clean our room! So we had to ask for more towels and garbage to be taken out. (The poor front desk were really tired of us calling but very nice!) The front desk did an amazing job with everything they had to deal with, they kept saying it was the cleaning crew and they didn't know what was going on with them. The hall ways were dirty with gum laying in the stair ways and just didn't seem clean at all. When checking out on our last day was the first time we had a different person at the front desk and the guy was very rude. We had 2 bills and 2 totals and we were wondering which was which and what the other meant and it was VERY RUDE and was like "This is your charge, I don't know what the other one is" and walked away! Everything about the stay was pretty disappointing as we were really looking forward to our vacation!
