One of my favorite places downtown. The food is fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. The coffee is excellent. Service is slower than you might expect at a bakery/deli but is well worth the wait as everything is prepared to order.
I really enjoy the caprese salad which interestingly comes with another "side" salad of fresh greens, banana pepper, pumpkin seeds, tomato and cranberries. It's a wonderful combination.
The Monte Cristo sandwich is very good, not heavy or greasy. The smoked ham is delicious, the cheese not overpowering, and the bread just eggy enough to taste rich, but not cloying. The jam and marscapone cheese are delicious, and the side of fresh berries is perfect.
More favorites are the meat plate and the cheese plate. Excellent for sharing, and a great way to enjoy a variety of tastes.
Prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food, service is great, but again, this is not a fast food place. Relax and enjoy the surrounding, you won't be disappointed.
The restaurant just went full service (mid-May 2013).
