“Average room bargin price.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

This is a reasonable room for the price we paid. Room smelled ok, only three towels and when we asked for more, the night staff said there was no more, and then uttered the words you should not hear in a service industry. " It's not my problem." Breakfast was adequate, nothing spectacular , water in the shower was hot, hot tub was hot, but pool was way too cold.

Room Tip: Don't expect perfection here.

The motel has a great location and the prices are always good. The room was nice and clean and my stay was comfortable and quiet. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The breakfast is simple and that's all I look for.

The pool was broken, that was a major inconvenience when you have a kid. The first day, the breakfast was cleaned out at 8am, no donuts, no bread, what else is there? It's a small breakfast to start with, that was majorly disappointing, especially since there's no fridge or microwave in the room and I was staying for 2 days. The 2nd day the manager was working and she fully stocked the breakfast, it was awesome! The carpet in the room was really dirty, it needs to be steam cleaned. The beds were quite comfortable and the guests were pretty quiet, so I got a good nights sleep and the bedding seemed clean, perhaps stained though. Maybe bleach the white sheets more? The location and value made it worth my stay, but I'm calling ahead next time, if the pool is broken, I'm going somewhere else.

We just got back from a 6-night stay, not that we were in the room much. Would have been nice if the pool/hot-tub had been working, but having a room with a jacuzzi was heaven after a day of 'playing tourist'! Well worth the few extra bucks per night. Clerks and housekeeping were friendly and were quick to help with extra towels, etc. The location, right across from WalMart, Pirates Cove and the MillStone Restaurant, meant NO driving for great food, a bit of non-siteseeing entertainment, or all those little items you might have forgotten to pack or didn't realize you were going to need. Also appreciated that the front desk had their own 'local map' available to find the main streets of Rapid City, in a size that even us seniors could see. Only real 'complaint' was that the 'jacuzzi room' was up on the second floor. Clerks couldn't figure out why that was done, either. <GRIN>
