“Spacious rooms at a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2010

This hotel was definitely worth the stay and was very affordable compared to others in Mitchell. The guy at the desk said all rooms have been remodeled in the last two years. The room we stayed in was large (plenty of room for two beds, all our stuff, and a pack-n-play), and while we were on the street side, we were not disturbed during the night with traffic or other noises. Totally recommend this stop!

The motel is old and is showing some wear but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the bathroom looked up-to-date. The internet was spotty. It didn't work most of the time we where there, but during the day when there were less people there, it worked ok. The pool is nice and heated. The breakfast was great if you showed up at 7am, later in the morning the selection wasn't as much but it was a weekend and they were sold out so that maybe why. They had donuts, pastries, four types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal and a waffle maker. Overall it is well worth the $50 per night price.

As I wrote in a review of another motel, make no mistake, this is a motel not a hotel. But for what it is, it's fine. Clean (if a bit noisy) rooms. Friendly staff. Plenty of towels. Old tv's but decent internet connection. And the outdoor pool is heated.

Again, there's nothing luxury or even "hotel like" about this motel, but for the price, it's not too bad. In fact, after staying in it on the way to Mt. Rushmore, we decided to make reservations for the way back. Our week day rate in the summer was $59. Hard to beat.

The property is pretty dated and lacking the bells and whistles of newer places, but the place was clean and the service friendly!

There's a pool, but we didn't bother w/ it (only stayed for one night). The wifi wasn't exactly lightning fast, but we got a good signal in our room and didn't have any issues.

Despite proximity to the highway, it was quiet enough. This is a good stop for those passing thru for a night or two, but not really fancy enough to spend an extended period of time.

It's only $50-$60 a night, SO KEEP YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN CHECK!!!! It's not super fancy, but like I said, cheap and clean!

We stopped in nervously to get a rate. First we were surprised by the rate $59 a night. Now even more nervous we went to our room. To our surprise and delight it was a nice room, clean and more than we expected for the rate. Definately well worth the rate and a better value they the red roofs or quality inn of the world.

We were just looking for a cheap, clean place to spend the night while on the road. This one met the criteria. It was clean and decent......your typical, older motor inn. It does have outside entrances, which I don't care for, but it was quiet and clean. It could use some new mattresses. They seemed a little tired, but really, for the money I paid, I'm not complaining!
I would stay here again when just looking for a clean bed and a shower.
