“Cleanest room I have ever stayed in!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

We stayed for one night in May on our way "out West". Previous reviews are correct in listing only basic amenities for this hotel. However, the manager offered us a two queen room for the same price as the one queen we reserved for no additional cost! We stayed at this hotel during a bad storm (over 70mph winds, rain, and hail). Although we lost power for a bit, it came on after about an hour. In the meantime managers invited us to stay in the breakfast area and made sure we were safe. Despite the winds and the storm, the hotel was no worse for the wear (appparently the same could not be said for several nearby trailers and the town hardware store, sadly). The breakfast is incuded. It's your basic breakfast with extras like biscuits and gravy and premade microwaveable pancakes. The BEST part of this hotel is the cleanliness. Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere in the room, including the bathroom. It is truly evident that these managers take the time and effort to make the rooms extra tidy for each guest. Microwave and fridge appeared to be in each room, so bring snacks and drinks! Also, there is a little mom and pop restaurant that shares the parking lot. It is adequate family restuarant style food.

The town is nothing to write home about, but the motel is very good.

Visiting family in Kadoka, two of our families stayed for two nights. The rooms were VERY clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and VERY helpful. We had paid for three nights for one of the families and then realized we would be checking out a day early. No questions asked, my account was credited immediately. No highway noise noticed, walls a little thin.

Traveling through SD at 9p.m, needed overnight stay on the way back to St. Paul. Reasonable, clean, free continental breakfast (toast, micro pancakes, cereal, donuts etc.). Nothing fancy, but can't beat it for value.

Stayed one night on our way to Mt. Rushmore. Located just off the interstate. Easy, friendly check in. Clean lobby, room and bathroom. Breakfast was included (cereal, fruit, breads, coffee, juice). No frills, just a nice clean place to stop for the night. We paid $65/night.

We were on a long driving trip, seeing the Badlands late in the day on the day we stayed here. We wanted a hotel to stay one night close to the east side of the park, arriving late and leaving early. It was hard to find a decent place in this area. There isn't much there. We somewhat reluctantly booked here, and questioned our decision when seeing the exterior. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Although dated, our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, recommending a decent restaurant nearby. The complimentary breakfast was limited, but just fine. We'd stay here again on another Badlands visit.

This was a very nice, clean, comfortable place to stay before driving into the Badlands Natl Park and on to Custer State Park the following day. The bed was a pillowtop bed and very comfortable! My dog was allowed too, which was great. The breakfast room is open until midnight with access to a microwave, so it was nice to heat up some dinner, since there's not many restaurants around. I would definitely stay here again!
