“Lunch after a great bike ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

The waitress was great and recommended a nice beer to go with the lunch. Portions were great ( more than we could finish)

“Very nice small restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

This is a very nice small local restaurant recommended by our hotel manager. It consists of a very small dinner menu, and lunch menu as well. The food is excellent however! The deserts were great and yummy! It was a very nice atmosphere with excellent service. I would definitely go here again! The only thing I didn't like was that I thought the price was a little to much, but worth it I suppose for the most part.

“A little bit of Germany in the black hills”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Stopped for lunch. Have lived in Germany for several years and can say that this stop was like reliving our day outings when there. The food, taste, presentation and service are all outstanding. And the prices are very very reasonable. Quite a find for us.

“Nice spot to stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

We had lunch here one day of our trip - sat outside on the lovely verandah and watched the people of Hill City go by. We both opted for German style, schnitzel and bavarian sausage. It was wonderful, prepared very authentic and was fresh and quick. Great service. We would go back!

“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

A local recommended this place - and she was right! Great authentic German food and really good sandwiches too (try the German plate). It's in an old Victorian style house with a wraparound porch right on the main street. Very quaint and comfortable. The dessert menu looked fabulous but we were too stuffed to get anything! Food was reasonably priced. Very busy at lunch time - but worth the wait.
