Located in an operating old mining community hotel, this restaurant is a real winner. This is extremely popular year 'round, and no reservations are taken. Tried lunch, and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Waiting area is crowded, so sit at the bar. Restaurant tables are somewhat close together. Take all of this in stride, because the service and food are truly excellent. German immigrant family has prepared superb dishes for many years. Locals report dinner is even better. Bottom line: one of the best restaurants in the Black Hills region, and one of the best German restaurants anywhere.
