South Dakota offers complex rock formations, amazing trails for foot and bike traffic, but the food tends toward things canned, frozen, and full of chemicals.
The amazing retreat of innkeepers Al and Marilyn will jump-start your day of activity. In five wonderful presentations, we've had fresh fruit parfait appetizers, then fresh scones or muffins or biscuits. The third course, served with gusto and elan, has included breakfast pizza, poached eggs with oatmeal pancakes, fruit pancakes, and a yummy brown rice quiche. Five-star ratings come easy for a cook who turns out coconut pineapple muffins that you CANNOT refuse!
We stayed in the Knotted Pine suite, which was steps away from a private entrance. Our space included a well-jetted spa tub, a luxurious canopy bed, and personalized coffee carafe left outside our door at 7:00. Marilyn and Al, long-time locals have at their fingertips every bit of local lore that you need to make your trip unforgettable.
Enjoy your stay...and count on some of the best food you've ever tasted!!!
