Owners were not in when we arrived but they left us a friendly note on the door telling us how to reach our room and a contact number if we needed anything,
We had 'Forever Blossoms' on the ground floor which had a king sized bed, Hot tub and a seperate entrance. The room was well equipped with
TV, Fridge & Microwave and, if you wanted to be sociable, there is a TV lounge in the centre of the house with plenty of books for all ages to read.
The owners are full of local knowledge and are happy to tell you both the history of the house and how its first owner is mentioned in 'The Long Winter' by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
They are happy to recommend places to eat and can give times of the tours of the Laura Ingalls WIlder sites in De Smet.
The bedroom itself was very comfortable & the Hot Tub was very welcome after a busy days sightseeing.
The breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and a good choice of food which you order the night befor.
They are at great pains to introduce guests to each other & to encourage conversation between guests which gave it a very homely touch.
Our room was not air conditioned but the 2 ceiling fans were more than adequate in keeping the room cool on an autumn night.
