“Glorious Colors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

If you want a peaceful stroll in a beautiful area, take in McCrory Gardens in Brookings. They do a fine job with every season. I wish it was closer to our home.

“Stop and smell the roses!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

McCrory Gardens in Brookings SD is one of the top gardens of its type in the U.S. Even seeing the gardens in mid-September, they were still full of color and just spectacular. The Gardens are part of the South Dakota State University's Plant Science Department and have over 25 acres of formal display gardens and 45 acres of the South Dakota Arboretum. A wonderful find is this very eastern part of South Dakota.

“Much Improved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

This attraction has gotten much better since our last visit. They have added a visitor's center and the grounds are well-cared for. Nice place for relaxing or a leisurely stroll.

“Go See the Beautiful Flowers, but Watch Out For the Sprinklers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Pros: Nice gardens with many colorful flowers in bloom. Saw many butterflies and even a hummingbird moth. The gardens were landscaped very nicely.

Cons: Sprinklers prevented us from seeing all of the gardens.

“Wonderful Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

What a delightful place to visit and enjoy nature. I am sure that with the new visitor's center it will be even better. Be sure to visit on your next trip to Brookings, also a great place to visit.
