We stayed in the hotel on Tuesday, August 14th. We had the waterpark completely to ourselves. The slide is only for people 48"+ and the height requirement is strictly enforced. If no attendant is on duty, the slide is closed and you can swim or play basketball in that pool instead. The splash park is good for ages 1-5. The only downfall was that the hot tub was closed for repairs, but we were able to use the one in the hotel next door (same owner). The evening reception was great! Beer, wine, cheese, crackers, chicken nuggets, and veggies/dip were available. All was self-serve, so no drink tickets were needed like in other hotels. Everything was refilled promptly. The morning breakfast was not so great. The pancake machine was broken. There were signs stating "Nutritious... Delicious" with pictures of bananas, but there was absolutely no fruit of any kind.

Hi - thanks for taking the time to write a review! I am glad you enjoyed the happy hour; it IS a great way to relax after a day of travel. And the waterpark is often a fun surprise for the kids. I apologize that we were out of fruit the morning you were here. We normally have bananas as well as a bowl of apples for our guests.

Please come see us again. We have a great variety of rooms and suites for every family.

We loved the property. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and always had a smile on their face. The only reason service was not rated higher is that at check-in no one was manning the desk. I had to actually call 0 from the house phone to get someone to come out to the desk. But the clerk at check-in was pleasant.

One of the nicest hiexs. Nice updated rooms. Cookies at night. Pancake machine at free breakfast. Huge slide with rafts and a separate kids play area. Lots of tables for adults. Would recommend for road trip to the badlands and black hills.

It was $160 a night, but sleeps six, so then it becomes a better value. Free beer and snacks that you could eat for dinner if you wanted to not spend as much money, Tuesday through Thursday . We took advantage of that! Breakfast is really good with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, yogurt and fruit.

Spacious rooms with free wi-fi and a fridge, which is convenient. The water park was a huge hit for our 7 year old, but the chlorine yellowed my white suit, so don't wear a white suit here. Short drive to Pipestone Nat. Park, which was a neat park to visit, so make the trip there too, it's a beautiful drive.

Room Tip: Stay on second floor

Hotel is a little pricey. Though not the hotels fault, it is noisy because families stay there because of the waterpark and kids are noisy: slam doors and run and jump. Get a second floor room to help eliminate sounds from above. Breakfast is adequate with fair selection . They had no napkins out when we were down for breakfast. Staff are helpful. Waterpark is great. Our 7 year old loved it. Beds are comfy and room is clean.
