“Unsatisfactory shower situation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

When we travel, I select RV parks based on the restroom ratings. I could not agree more with some of the comments below. This might be considered off season, but the bathroom has not been cleaned in the two days that we have been here. There is still dirt on the floor from the day we arrived. Fortunately, no one else is here so when I found my self first in one shower area near the office where the heat hadn't been turned on, I ventured down the way to the second facility. As with the reviewer below, the first shower I tried either had no water pressure or it was scalding hot and there was no hope of changing the temperature. I left that stall and went to the next where there was no water pressure and only the inner circle of the shower head was putting out water but at least could regulate the water temperature. I won't be recommending this facility.

I rated this campground as a 4. We travel in a 45' coach with a tow vehicle and we were in a nice spot with some shade and no neighbors directly alongside us. Having an area in which to walk our dog is important and there were several nice areas to do just that. The campground was well maintained and since it was off-season, there weren't a lot of campers with children. The pool is exceptional for a campground this size and has lots of nice lounge chairs. We were in the row next to farthest from the highway and didn't spend much time outdoors as the wind was blowing violently so I really was not distracted by the highway noise. The unexpected flaw was the shower situation. There were only two ladies showers in the building nearest us. They shared a common dressing area and then had separate shower cubicles. I may be a prude, but I have never stayed in a campground that didn't have privacy for disrobing and dressing. Then, the water pressure was only existent if the temperature was scalding. I ended up taking a lukewarm shower with virtually no water pressure. It was a huge unpleasant surprise. Finally, the most unexpected was that the bathrooms floors were dirty and didn't appear to have been cleaned effectively any time recently. Sadly, this will be enough to keep us from staying here again despite the pleasant aspects of this campground.

Room Tip: As others have suggested, try to avoid rows close to the highway.

Stopped on our way here from St. Paul to the Black Hills. A good almost half way point. Stayed in a BooBoo Bungalow cabin. Plenty of sleeping space and the indoor bathroom is a must for us. A bonus was the microwave and fridge. Lots of freeway noise when outside but it was quiet inside. The pool was just right for our 7 yr old and 2 teens. The store had all the last minute items we needed at a fair price. Found it no problem using our mapquest directions.

Room Tip: The bungalow has a microwave and fridge. Glad we chose this one over a more expensive one with a kit...

We are a 45' Class A towing a GMC Denali p/u. Jellystone's website doesn't give a numbered street address. There is no signage as you exit I-90. And when you call, you aren't asked your direction of travel, only to Exit at 402. Left, right, north, south!!!!!!! Duh, we had to unhook and find a place about 5 mi away yo turn around. The park is nice with shade trees but management seems non-existent at the moment

This park has a few problems besides Kids running everywhere, which is understandable as it is a kid's RV park. However, its location to the Interstate 90 makes for a ton of freeway noise. There is also a Rail Road track on the other side with hourly train traffic. Do not expect a good night's sleep.

The electric, water and sewer hooks up are good and the pull through sites are long and wide. Not a place to stay for any length of time unless you have young kids.

Room Tip: If you need 50 amps, only certain sites have 50 amps.

Enjoyed our stay. End space - pull through. Park has a jumping pillow that my kids loved. Pancake breakfast is very cheap and good. Teens that work there did a great job too. Would stay here again and recommend to families with children.

We stayed 3 nights in August and thought it would be good. Yogi Bear did come around, which was cool. Wifi was very poor and when we said something it was glossed over as not working at that time. Management was overbearing and liked to talk down to you with a loud voice. Was not impressed. We have been on the road now a month and stayed at a lot of campgrounds. Would rate this the poorest.
