“Very Interesting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We spent a wonderful afternoon at the Charleston Tea Plantation. The tour is fun and informative, and the area is beautiful. We actually learned a lot about tea . . . and purchased some at the unique gift shop. We also sat on the porch in comfortable rocking chairs, drinking tea and viewing the beautiful plantation. A great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.

There is a small fee for the trolley tour though the plantation (well worth it!), but the factory tour is free (also worth seeing).

“Wonderful visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Stopped here after leaving Charleston on our way to Savannah. What a neat place. It's free to see and you can do a little walkthrough the factory and view a movie bit I recommend the trolley tour. $10.00 pp but only $8.00 with AAA discount and you can get coupons on line at Charleston visitor's sites. Nice gift shop and you can taste a few hot and cold teas. Trolley tour was very informative. Only tea plantation in the USA. Great time!!

“It's okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

The factory tour is just watching tv monitors and takes like 5 minutes, if you pay $10 you can go on a trolly tour of the farm. Other than that you're in the shop where their tea is actually a bit overpriced.

“Outing with the boys”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We fell in love with the tea and now buy it often. We went in July 2013 and got there an hour before they closed. The people were wonderful and told us to relax and enjoy the plantation, and we did. We did the trolley ride at 10 adult, 5 kids and felt it was worth it. The shop was lovely and the tour was in one little room that took a few minutes unless we watched the tv tour part. Free samples, self serve was perfect and the peach tea was our favorite. It was a perfect hour. We will go back to see the tree.

“Simple, yet interesting visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Visited tea plantation today! Was a rainy day, but learned about how tea is processed and history of Bigelow tea in US. Lots of great teas to sample, nice rocking chairs to relax. Who knew tea processing was so interesting. Did not take the trolley tour, so only cost was our souvenirs! Worth the drive!
