My family and I stayed at the Country Club Villas, for three nights. I selected this place based on price and roominess. I found this place on Expedia for a very good price and booked it on a whim.
First, let's get the "bad" out of the way: the place is dated with furniture that has time traveled from the 80s; the entire area is surrounded by other development and homes; the activities room has nothing worthwhile except for an air-hockey table. The beds could be larger - they were either singles or twins. Not enough space to lie down upon.
Now, the good: plenty of space for the kids to roam around, without interfering with mom and dad. Great kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking and eating at home. Great to have a washer and dryer in the room (actually, it is located below the treehouse rooms). Also, the addition of a sofabed gave us extra space for sleeping. Finally, having two bathrooms makes it so much easier, in the morning, to get ready and get out and about.
The rooms are situated in a treehouse fashion; they look lovely. There is a courtyard in the back with basketball courts and grills. The kids played there for a while. There is plenty of parking.
The reception area is a short walk from the rooms. The activities center is across from the reception area (we never used it). The pool is attached to the activities center. The pool and spa is definitely one of the highlights. It is a large-sized pool and is almost always empty. The kids could play in there for hours. The spa was a bit on the hot side; but, was a welcome retreat. The entire pool area is semi-enclosed (screened on all sides with a covered roof). This is great for the kids to get away from the hot, burning sun. Showers and bathrooms are available next to the pool.
All in all, this is a decent place, if you get a good deal on the price.
Go for it, if you get a good price.
