“Lots of pleasant surprises”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

The staff here is friendly and helpful. Lots of perks...newspaper at our door each morning...free internet access...complimentary cookies and coffee are available 24 hours a day. We checked into a king suite, and the layout allowed us to be able to shut our bedroom door, with the bathroom still accessible to our daughter, who slept on the pullout sofa one night of our stay. Our dog came with us, and we found our pet friendly room very clean and well-maintained with maid service offered every day. The complimentary breakfast had a tremendous variety of hot foods, fresh fruit, cereal, juices and bakery items. For $99 a night, this was the best deal around for miles and miles! I'll be back for sure. :)

Room Tip: Check out the King Suite rooms, with a sitting room, refrigerator and microwave!

This hotel is just off the interstate about 2 miles from the center of Summerville. The location is very convenient, as there are malls, theaters, restaurants all right next door. We discovered a back way into the mall just across the street from this hotel. The breakfast is good and prices are reasonable. In low traffic times it's about a 20-25 minute drive to old town Charleston. The rooms are a little rundown, but we were quite happy with our stay here.

Hubby surprised me with a 20th wedding anniversary trip and we started out here. It was a beautiful place, close to a lot of good restaurants and we even did some Halloween shopping nearby. The staff was great, and I loved the rooms. Especially the beds; very comfortable! No complaints whatsoever.

Have stayed multiple nights within past 2 months. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Last stay room was missing some amenities and they were quick to get stuff and very apologetic. Breakfast is standard fare nowadays -- waffle maker, hot entree varies each day, yogurt, fresh fruit, store bought pastries, muffins, assorted breads, instant oatmeal, add-ins such as raisins, granola, cinnamon, nuts, snack boxes of cereals, etc. Hotel is conveniently located off Interstate and walking distance to several restaurants and short drive to many others. Rooms were clean and did not look dated. Small fitness room and desktop computer to use. Will return again.

Room Tip: Elevators are VERY slow, if that's a problem choose first floor room.

Pleased with the overall cleanliness of hotel. Check-in process very easy. We've never stayed at a Country Inn and Suites and although the bags of snacks were a nice touch, the desk clerk just handed them over to me like I knew what they were. She was rather "dead-pan", not rude but just short and to the point. It would have been nice to have simply said "Compliments from our hotel, enjoy." I did not know about the free cookies either until I read about it in the hotel info book in our room. Our room was on 2nd floor, no vending machines on that floor only. Our floor had a popping sound when we walked across it and yes, I agree w/other reviewers- bathroom could use a fan, especially when you are getting out of the shower and the mirror is all fogged up. Breakfast was above average and the attendant on duty was very accommodating. You can walk to Cracker Barrel from this hotel, close to everything. Nicest staff I encountered was the maid in the hall who was super friendly. Could not believe that as close as this hotel was to Charleston, there weren't any area info brochures in the lobby.

Easy to find, spacious rooms, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Stayed here twice for Softball this year. The bus carrying the HS girls softball team arrived before check in, but they let all the girls check in if their rooms were ready which we thought was very nice. Spacious rooms and a good breakfast!

This is a good property right off the interstate. Folks are friendly and lots near (wal mart, restaurants etc). Downtown charleston is about 20 minutes if you don't hit traffic which makes this a great place to stay when "everything is booked". This is when I use this property. Also the Carlson brands reward points are about the best I've seen. Lots of points and green nights and discounts rack up quickly if you are a frequent traveler so I use country inn frequently. Quality is on par with a Hampton inn or holiday inn express but usually less expensive.
