“Great Staff, Very Good Hospitality, Neat and Mostly Clean.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012 via mobile

The staff are a great group of people very friendly. They are a good role model for southern hospitality and great at making you feel at home. I am a injured Marine Corp veteran with a service dog and they were very curious and did all they can to accommodate to my needs.

Pillow cases appeared to be stained it was not really noticeable unless you examined closely. The bed sheets appeared to be clean but the bed spread had a cigarette burn in it. The carpet was dirty and in need of a vacuum and in need of a cleaning.

This was my first stay in a Motel 6, it will probably be my last.

The good – Friendly staff, quick check-in, convenient to the Interstate, next to a good restaurant, reasonably priced.

The room layout is very nice. There are 2 queen beds separated by an island that has a refrigerator, microwave, sink and counter space. The large window has cushioning on the recessed window sill that probably is intended as a sleeping area for a child. This layout would have been perfect for us when we were traveling with our children. The bathroom was clean.

The bad – DIRTY. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. The TV & cable box were very dusty. The real issue was when we turned down the bed. The pillow cases were either dirty or terribly stained. They were disgusting. The second bed was OK. The only reason that I didn’t complain to the management is that we had been in the room for a couple of hours and we were tired. We opted to sleep in the second bed. The hallway carpeting was dirty. It had some flaky white stuff on it when we arrived and it was still there 14 hours later when we left. The towels in the bathroom were like sandpaper.

At the time of this review, this motel was rated #1 in the area. I don’t know how that could happen. At the price that I paid, I certainly was not expecting the Four Seasons. I was expecting clean.

The location for weary travellers is good...but there are a few other places on the same street. If you only need a place to lie down and don't care about comfort or amenities you will be fine here. Our "no smoking" room smelled of smoke because of the nearby rooms. We ended up having to leave after 3 hours because our son was sick and we needed to go to th ER. We spoke to the manager who eventually said they would refund us 50%...we have yet to see it. The bed was uncomfortable and there was no padding...just bare bones. For a family this is not something that works.

Stayed overnight on the way back from Florida. Wasnt expecting such a nice hotel for the price. Hotel was clean, location was great, right off the interstate with a lot of restaurants nearby, and staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was a little dissapointing but we still had a nice visit and will return next year.

Our family drove south for a long Florida vacation. We needed someplace to spend the night on our way south, we were hoping to make it to Columbia but were just too tired. We just stumbled on this place. The price was right so we chose it. I am so glad we did. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast was a nice surprise. We enjoyed it so much we stayed there on the way home too, This time we had our whole family with us so we needed 3 rooms. It was such a joy knowing we would have someplace to stay that was peaceful and clean.

Decent hotel for $40 a night. It's clean, it's safe and it's comfortable. Wireless internet was very good, several TV stations and very good air conditioner. Staff was very friendly, fast and professional. The only down side is the breakfast. Horrible breakfast, but with the money saved McDonald's next door wasn't out of the question. It's $40 a night folks, can't expect the Hilton. It covers the essentials.

Hotel is runned down-dirty,smelly. When we came down for breakfast there was nothing eadeble in the .When we asked to bring more sausage and eggs she brought 2 peases of sausage and no eggs for the our family of 6 people. After we left to pack our staff, she forced our teenaged daughters to clean up after everybody.
