This was not our first visit and will not be our last. From start to finish the service, as usual, was spot on. Pleasant and friendly without being too familiar, accommodating to special requests and well timed. The starter cocktails were most tasty. My wife enjoyed her Bellini but admitted that my choice of the strawberry basil cocktail out-shined hers. Our appetizers were absolutely divine, seared tuna for me and fried oysters for her. Both prepared with care and attention to detail, the tuna was pepper crusted over pickled vegetables, seasoned well and cooked rare. The fried oysters were crispy, while retaining some brininess and paired well with creamed corn and a spicy aioli. The entrees arrived and while my wife enjoyed her crab cakes, she did wish they had been sauteed instead of fried. My bouillabaisse, however, was very good indeed. Light and well seasoned, the fish being a star on the plate, and the vegetables, butter beans & okra, providing a tie to the Lowcountry. Finally dessert, Apple pie a la mode. Fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant when you visit the Pawleys Island / Litchfield Beach area.
