“Amazing Fried Chicken”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

Drop in and enjoy perhaps the best fried chicken you'll ever eat. If you're lucky enough to be in line when it's right out of the fryer, you'll have one of those rare foodie moments that sustain you for some time. Oh yeah the bbq, sides and sweet tea are great too.

“Great Food - GreatPrice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

This is a must if you are in the Orangeburg area. Located in an industrial area but worth finding for sure. This is a "locals" place and the fried chicken is wonderful. Pulled pork, mac & cheese
great. All for $10 all you can eat. I will come back the next time I am in the area.

“Fantastic Decision To Stop in Orangeburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

On the highway from Charlotte to Charleston and debated on whether or not to try Duke's in Orangeburg. May have been the best decision of the entire trip to stop here. The fried chicken and sweet tea on the tables were outstanding, and the pulled pork was very good. Realistically, this place scored more points with the fried chicken than the actual traditional BBQ items for me. The atmosphere felt authentic. And you cannot beat the value here, $10 for all you can eat. I made three separate trips to the buffet line, which is constantly being replenished with fresh food. Beware that parts of the town aren't spectacular by any means.

“Top BBQ in Orangeburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

I have eaten here about 15 times since my last review over 3 years ago. I believe the other Dukes BBQ is getting reviews that are for this Dukes BBQ. Can you believe there are 2 Dukes BBQs in Orangeburg that are unrelated! The other Dukes is on Chestnut but this one is on Whitman and is on the corner with a big red sign out front. The chopped BBQ here is very moist and should be topped with their sweet bbq sauce (original) first. It will knock your socks off unless you don't like sweet mustard sauce. If not, then try the other sauces to find the one you like best. Their fried chicken is to die for and is old south style. They have great ketchup based meat hash that should be put on your rice. Their mac&cheese is excellent also. Other great homemade sides are potato salad, slaw, hush puppies and "killer" fried skins. Strong sweet tea is on the tables so just get your cup with ice. To look like a local, throw some dill pickle chips on you plate and pick up a couple slices of white bread!!!! This Dukes is the Original Earl Dukes BBQ Location. I have eaten their bbq from this location since the 1950s. It has sure changed since then.

“Awful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

My husband and I only ate here once but we will never return. The food was awful. The place was unkept and the bathrooms were horrible.
