If you're visiting North Myrtle Beach during the off season, Beach Cove Resort has some of the most affordable oceanfront suites available. We stayed in an oceanfront executive suite which consisted of two queen beds, 2 TV's, 1 DVD/VCR player, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen sink, small refrigerator, dining table with 2 chairs. sofa with sleeper and a balcony with 4 chairs and small table. The room layout is comfortable and the bath and bedroom are not intrusive to the living/kitchen area. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The staff is knowledegable and friendly. During our visit the resort was undergoing some renovations, but these did not interfere with our stay.

Not only does the resort offer an indoor pool and whirlpool, but the outside pools are heated. The outside pool area is most attractive. The resort offers an on-site restaurant, coffee shop/piano bar, arcade room, exercise room and a conference area. Although we didn't take advantage of all the offerings, their layout and decor were very nice.

The resorts affordability along with its location was our prime reasons for selecting to stay with Beach Cove. The resort is approximately one mile from Bare Foot Landing. Our primary reason for visiting was to take in a show at the House of Blues. The location was most convenient for our purposes. The parking garage is easy to navigate and connected to the resort. If price and location are primary concerns and you don't want to skimp on cleanliness and neatness, Beach Cove Resort is the place to stay.

We were really happy with our stay at the Beach Cove Resort and hope to go again sometime this winter. We stayed in a nice corner unit (an executive suite) that provided a wonderful oceanfront view. This unit had a separate bedroom and living room. The sofa, chairs, and carpet were starting to show wear, but were still clean and comfortable. The beds were great, and the kitchenette was convenient and fully stocked. The hotel has wireless internet service (free) on a couple of floors, including the lobby, although we could get access from time to time up in our unit on the 12th floor.

Maid service was reliable and friendly. Actually, every staff person we met at this resort went out of their way to be friendly. Good customer service is apparently emphasized among the staff.

Despite it being off season, almost all of the resort's amenities were running. The only exception was the ice cream/snack bar, although the room was still open for guests who wanted to play the arcade games. Other dining options included the main restaurant (the breakfast buffet was good), the poolside bar and grill, a pastry shop that served Starbucks coffee, and a sports bar. The fitness center had a good variety of well-maintained equipment and a nice view of the pools and beach. There was also an indoor pool and hot tub, men's and women's saunas, and a racquetball court.

The pool area was beautifully landscaped and the pools were always clean. Being October, there was plenty of pool space and deck chairs. We usually had a pool to ourselves. There was a large children's pool, a lazy river, and two hot tubs (one was quite large). I imagine chair space and hot tub space is at a premium during peak season, though.

The location is also ideal. It is in the Windy Hill area just across from Barefoot Landing and five minutes north of Restaurant Row. It's a safe, quiet area ideal for walking on the beach or along the sidewalk beside the road.

We've stayed at several other Myrtle Beach resorts -- some better than others -- but this one ranks as one of our favorites, and we will definitely return.

We stayed at the Beach Cove from August 27 - September 1 2006. We stayed in room 602 and it was fabulous! We had a condo and it had everything you could possibly need. This is privately owned and is very well maintained. The beds were AMAZING, the water pressure was GREAT, and everything was very CLEAN! I am very picky and notice things many people don't notice. I have to say that this is the first time I have ever been this impressed. They have a comment book so that you can post suggestions. I did mention that the mirror in the master bedrom was gone and that was an inconvenience, but that was the only fault I found. Hopefully they will fix this soon. I will definately request unit 602 next summer!

As many others have noted, the pools are plentiful and clean. They did have security around the pool, making sure that you had hotel issued tags, preventing the public from using the pools. This must be a new rule, since so many reviews noted that people were using the pool that should not. The maid service was well above average. Every day, we were contacted by the housekeeping supervisor, making sure everything was up to par! This was a first and a nice touch.

The hotel staff was very helpful with any questions we had. The luggage carts were plentiful, and the parking garage attendant notified us we left our lights on (thankfully)!

The last night, we encountered Hurricane/Tropical Storm Ernesto and this was something to see! I hated or last day was ruined by rain, but the overall vacation was fabulous.

Should you decide to stay at The Beach Cove, request room 602, you'll love it!

This was our first stay at the Beach Cove Resort. We usually go to the Myrtle Beach area every summer. We found this place through Grand Strand Realty located in North Myrtle Beach. We were sold on this place as soon as we got a view of the outside poolscape. Even though there were some negative comments about the rooms I thought that it was worth the risk. By going through the realty company we did not have maid service but we did not mind at all. They always seem to come at the most inconvient times anyway. We saved almost $400.00 on the 7 night stay by going through them and did not have to wait in the long check-in lines at the resort. We will most defiantly be going back next year with Grand Strand Realty. The room was very very clean and maintained by the owners of the condo. The pools, Hot Tubs, and Lazy River were a great big hit with my 5 and 16 year old girls. The Cove is located right at the Barefoot Landing location. My one big complaint is that the cleaning staff uses the same elevator as the guest. I have added some photos for your enjoyment.
