Description: Located on Main Street in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach, Flynn’s Irish Tavern is a locals favorite and a must stop for annual and first time visitors to the Grand Strand. Just a short walk from the wide sandy beaches and first class accommodations of Ocean Drive, and a short ride from the many championship golf courses that populate the north strand. Flynn’s is a perfect place to enjoy a pint or two after a day on the beach or the golf links.Flynn’s is owned and operated by the Flynn Family and the authentic look and old country feel of the establishment comes from Marty’s place of birth, County Roscommon, Ireland. The tavern is housed in the former North Myrtle Beach jail, in fact, the jail cells are still here and tours are given upon request.

We found the end of the rainbow at Flynn's. Orders of Bangers and Mash and Shepherds Pie pleased us all. The choice of what to order was difficult. The decision to return was not. This will be a regular stop for us when we visit Cherry Grove Beach. Highlight of our week.

“I'M IRISH - JUST LIKE HOME”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Great food, lots of choices. The restaurant had an open feeling with lots of space - good for conversation. The Irish coffee was special - they added Bailey's Irish Cream along with the Irish whiskey in the coffee drink! I look forward to going back to this restaurant.

“Good food, friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Although we were disappointed that Flynn's was not open for lunch on a Saturday we waited and were pleased that we did. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and hubby had the onion soup and the Bully Boy (?) - beef with mashed potatoes and guinness gravy, My sandwich was good although a wee bit dry but hubby thoroughly enjoyed the soup and dish he had. We chose to sit at the bar and had a good chat with the friendly bartender. I would recommend it but call to check on the hours so you don't drive there like we did only to have to come back.

Highly recommend Flynns. Everything is great especially the fish and chips, chicken pot pie and liver and onions. Great family owned restaurant.

“Something for everyone - great food, relaxed atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

We love local restaurants and try to find good ones when we travel - we hit the jackpot at Flynn's! Fantastic food, comfortable atmosphere, excellent service and great live music on Saturday night! I'm not a fan of Irish food so, to be completed honest, I wasn't too excited when my family voted for Flynn's Irish Pub. I'm so glad they did! Flynn's has something for everyone! Highly recommended!
