“2 for 1 coupon in January”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

In the local Sunday paper, Greg Norman's had a "2 for 1" coupon. You do need the coupon to get the deal - so be sure to bring it along. One person orders off the regular menu and one orders off a limited menu (about 8 items). The items on the limited menu are no hardship - they are the same as the regular menu - not sure what the point of this is except that they are limiting your "free" choice options. We've been eating at and enjoying Greg Norman's for years so we expect the food to be good and the service to be attentive and it was. No disappointments in that department. I do have a gripe with restaurants who offer specials like this, and then add a mandatory 20% gratuity to your bill. At least out server was kind enough to point out to us that the tip was already added to the total (so many places like to let that slip by hoping for the "double tip") and in all fairness, their ad does state that the gratuity will be added . I do think that the industry has forgotten just what a tip is - and that it really shouldn't be "mandatory" - but that's a discussion for another place! Enjoy Greg Norman's - the interior is a delight and the water views are spectacular - and the food is top notch.

“Beautiful restaurant and views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We went here for our last hurrah in Myrtle Beach before heading to the airport. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We did not eat here, but we had drinks on their back patio. We started out at the bar inside and noticed the patio furniture and a beautiful water view. We asked the bartender if it would be alright for us to take our drinks outside, so we did. We had the whole patio to ourselves and it was a lovely touch to the end of our trip. The water view was beautiful and so enjoyable with some wine and the family.

“Tried and True”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We make it a point to visit GN's any time we are in town. Our most recent visit on Dec. 28, 2012 did not disappoint. We started our visit in the bar. We were at the very end of happy hour but the bartender & server were gracious enough to give us our first round at Happy Hour prices. We were headed to dinner so no food for us in the bar but the $5 appetizer menu for Happy Hour looks very good and could be a great way to experience GN's without going the full dinner route. The server in the bar was excellent and very personable and friendly. It is a very comfortable space to enjoy a view drinks. Our dinner server continued with the attentive service we have enjoyed so often at GN's. He was fabulous! One of the best servers we've had at any restaurant. The baked artichoke hearts appetizer was phenomenal. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the She-crab soup with tons of crab meat. All ordered steaks which were done to the right temperature. I ordered the bacon-bourbon sauce for the first time. It was like putting a piece of maple candy with some bacon on top of your steak. Delicious! The rissotto we ordered was OK but we're finding it is much better to make it at home fresh. The seasonal vegitables were excellent. Don't skip dessert...take it home if you are too full! Finally the cappucinno was excellent. Coffee purists might not think so but I througouhly enjoyed it and thought about going back the next day just to order it. We will continue to go back!

“Fantastic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge and the stop did not disappoint. Service was great. Meal was fantastic and location was enjoyable watching the watercraft on the intercostal waterway. Will definitely go back.

“Disappointment.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Our dinner: Salmon with roasted mushrooms/truffle risotto and a bourbon bacon glaze & Pan seared new york sirloin. Service was excellent. Salmon was good and the risotto was outstanding. The sirloin lacked flavor except for the demi sauce which was over it (but the demi was so so). For the meal prices, I would expect a side salad, even if not very large or yet another side choice. My expectations for the taste/quality of food were so high but reality was a downer. We will not go back as the food is mostly forgetable. I guess if you are looking for a wine/alcohol experience it must be pretty good, because every table within sight had it (we don't drink adult beverages).
