We spent 5 nights in the resort and paid the additional cash for an ocean front room. Mostly families here, so that was good. The problem is the parking deck for the hotel is across the street in the other tower so every time you leave you have to cross the street (which is a pain with three little ones). The lazy river and the second pool are also across the street as well as the exercise equipment. Something I was not told was that the tower across the street (which is cheaper) has an unobstructed view of the beach as well (just on the other side of the street). If you stay on the ocean side, to get to your car you have to take the elevator down, walk down a bit and across the street, then take an elevator up to where you park (the parking deck reserves the first 3 floors of the deck for the restaurant, pier and public), then drive down. Stay across the street and just take the elevator straight to your car and save money too. For convenience and money I would stay across the street if I ever stayed here again (which I won't). The room size was good and the room was clean except for the grout in the bathroom. One chair in the room and the sofa was torn when we showed up making me feel like they should have replaced it. The room held the 6 of us fine. Hallways from the rooms to the elevators are exposed and a thick smell of mildew was always in the air. The configuration for check in and checkout is terrible in regards to the parking. There are something on the order of 15 or so parking spots underneath the main tower and random folks are always parked there making it hard to get into the building. The first night we were there the elevators were acting up and only one worked, but I'd attribute that to the storm and the power surges going on. The key to this place is the location. It's off a pier in Cherry Grove (north of North Myrtle Beach), so you don't have to deal with all the craziness down in South Myrtle Beach, but you will have to drive something on the order of 30 minutes to get to the action if you want more than just the beach. In summary, great location, great beach, hotel average room, stay across the street in tower 2.
Stay across the street in the second tower. You'll save cash, still see the ocean and have easy...

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent stay with us. It pains me to see that your stay with us was just okay, we are certainly striving to be the best resort in North Myrtle Beach and will utilize your comments to improve our guest experience. I do hope that you will come back and give us the chance to show you how great a stay with us can be. I also do want to say that I very much agree that Tower 2 is a fantastic building with amazing views and can be very accommodating for families with young children, or those guests that prefer to spend more time at the pool rather than the beach. Once again we all hope very much to have the opportunity to serve you and yours in the future and wish you a safe and exciting end to the summer season.
