My wife and I love to play mini-golf on vacation and because of the excellent reviews here on TripAdvisor and the fact that it's the home of the Mini Golf Championship, we had to try it. Because we were staying in Myrtle Beach, we tied in our visit with a breakfast at Cannolis Cafe which is on the way to the Hawaiian Rumble course.
First off, this course is CASH ONLY so be prepared for that. We arrived around 10am so there was hardly anyone there and it wasn't hot yet. Since it was so early and nobody there, we decided to go for the $13 all day pass (till 5pm) to play two rounds. You can play as many rounds of golf as you'd like until 5pm for the one price. There's one 18 hole course and we played the course twice in a row.
It's a fun Hawaiian theme with a 'volcano' in the middle that will erupt once or twice during a round depending on how long it takes. Some of the holes are quite challenging while others are pretty easy. Overall a good blend of challenges. I actually got a hole in one both times on #2 and in fact, we had to wait for a family on our second time around and I put in another 5 hole in ones in a row on that hole while we waited. Hint, hit the ball to the left of the rock.
While this was a nice, clean course and now we know what the "championship" course looks like, I'm not sure it's worth the drive from Myrtle Beach to North Myrtle Beach just for this attraction. If you're pairing this up with something else, like we did with breakfast, then absolutely. But there are so many great courses in Myrtle Beach itself, there's nothing spectacular about this course that sets it apart from the rest that says, it's worth the drive just to come here.
Notes: The bathrooms are pretty nasty here so I would recommend you use the facilities elsewhere before you come to this attraction. Also I don't think this attraction is handicap / wheelchair accessible. You'd want to call to confirm, but it was all stairs that I saw.
