Booked a room at this hotel for 2 nights based on other reviews. I was very disappointed. The pluses: bed was very comfortable, quiet, close to restaurants & beaches. The negatives: outdated, dead roaches in room, staff not very friendly, coffee machine but no coffee pot in room and very expensive. When I used the outlets, my plugs just fell back out. At the "breakfast" in the lobby, every time the microwave was used the breaker would trip. Then we couldn't use the juice or coffee machine. The staff would have to fix the breaker. It happened a bunch of times in a matter of 10 minutes. I got my head chewed off by Isabella when I asked if it could be fixed. Not very good customer service. Also, the first night we where there the elevator broke down. Needless to say, I used the stairs the whole time we were there and we stayed on the 4th floor.

Our first time visiting the area. Pleased with the location, at the northern end of N Myrtle Beach. We were treated well, room was nice, well maintained, quiet upper floor. We often travel with a small dog, & appreciate La Quinta's pet policy.
Good breakfast options. We would stay again, but we'll choose a different week. We were unaware it was 'bike week'.

Rooms were ok, but a but out dated. Bed was comfy & clean. Prices were high but summer time in Myrtle Beach everything is high priced. Attendant was very helpful & nice. Only stayed one night but it was a decent nights rest at a decent hotel. Not the best LQ ive stayed in but definitely not the worst.

We stayed here for a cheap vacation and this is what we can say about the hotel. We arrived at 3:45pm to check in after a 15 hour drive and the room was not ready yet. No big deal, we ate came back and received a room on the 2nd floor which by the way is the pet friendly floor and smells like a kennel. We were quickly moved, the room smelled of wet dog, was damp just not a good vibe. I could imagine full of fleas from the stench. The second room was recently renovated and was much better, except bathroom was not cleaned very well from the previous guest. The water pressure was very low and when showering often lost pressure enough to kick off the shower. Long story short the hotel is good for a lay over, 2 day quick getaway, and a decent place to sleep. It's far from all your main attractions of Myrtle Beach and takes forever in traffic to get to, from the main Myrtle Beach areas. It's not the nicest, it didn't seem to house the most savory clientele, and it's not in the most convenient location. It's a little below average in my opinion and I wouldn't stay again. Hope this helps!

We had a terrible experience at this La Quinta, and, unfortunately paid top dollar for it. A brief list of some of the things we experienced:
Air conditioner very noisy
Carpet wet all around air conditioner
Mold on shower curtain
NOT one bar of soap or ounce of shampoo anywhere in the entire room/bathroom
No blanket anywhere to be found in room
Both mattresses dipped severely in the middle
Lumpy pillows
Room smelled disgusting from moment we walked in
Grill on bathroom exhaust vent filthy with stuck on dirt
At this writing, we are awaiting a response from Corporate in Texas regarding our complaints.
Based on this stay, we are turned off from all La Quintas. There are too many competitors offering a better place to rest your head.

Book the hotel for 4 days;my charger disappeared then the room was not clean when
we got back in the evening after complaining the charger was missing. Manager express no concern about the whole situation and no apology granted. Specially, for the money spent! I will not recommend this particular hotel to anyone at all....Sorry :(
