Whew, where to start! 7 of us shared a 3 bedroom condo in the Yacht Club Villas... (the new one next to the North Tower). We weren't hurting for space, as it was bigger than our house! Probably close to 2,000 square feet. The Kitchen was fully loaded and impeccable. The living room had a balcony which overlooked the intracoastal waterway. The "girls" room, which held a 20, 16, and 8 year old, was much like an actual hotel room, with 2 queen beds, a desk with internet connection, and armoire, walk in closet, and a bathroom fit for queens! Boy, were they ecstatic to have a jacuzzi tub, shower, 2 sinks... just great! They also had a private balcony.Their room was bigger than the master (or maybe it was the master).... but since there were 3 of them, we gave it to them. The other 2 rooms were average sized and very appropriate, each with their own bathroom. One of the coolest features was how this would be great for multiple families. The two bedrooms each have outside entrances as well as entrances from inside the condos.. it had double doors so that we could lock them out of the main condo or they could lock us out of their room!
The pool was incredible, so large, and never went above 4 feet, never had to worry about the little one. They also really enjoyed the hot tub (but being fair skinned, they soon learned that the hot tub and sunburns DO NOT mix, but hey, can't blame the resort for all that southern sunshine!)
They also have a very reliable shuttle service that runs about every 2 hours to the beach, since its about 3/4 mile away , but a very fun walk as well. They also have a shuttle to "barefoot landing" just on the other side of the intracoastal waterway, which is absolutely incredible! We walked there too, it's MUCH closer than the beach. It's like an outdoor mall, with many restaurants and unique shops (I reccomend Black Market Minerals... very impressive) and as for restaurants, I highly reccomend the Ultimate California Pizza... although the australian restaurant had a great feel (imagine a Rainforest Cafe). They had plenty of kiddy activities for my 8 year old, and my daughter and her boyfriend simply loved it too. They had "date nights" all the time and walked down their by themselves.
We arrived well after we plannned to, around 9pm (7 people = many potty breaks during a 14 hour drive) and check-in was still relatively easy.
I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE. Lovers, families, retired persons... it will NOT disappoint! Feel absolutely free to contact me with any questions, I loved it, I can't say enough about it, my family loved it, it brought my daughter and her boyfriend/fiance back from the brinks of a break-up... we never wanted to leave!!
This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful resort.
First time- River Crossing Villas
Second time- Greenbriar
Third Time- Yacht Club Villas (our favorite!)
Good Luck to all on your vacation search!
