The location is right off of the beach, which is nice. But, there is something very odd about the location at this time of year. It is spring break time, so we figured there would be quite a bit of people. The only people we have seen are workers at the hotel. This is ironic because there is no room service, so I don't get what all these people are doing here. Also, I would suggest staying closer to Myrtle Beach instead of North Myrtle Beach if you are serious about golf. The courses close to here are not as popular as some of the ones in Myrtle Beach. The front desk left a voicemail about cookies in the lobby, but the cookies were eaten by the nonexistent guests. The stay would be better with warmer weather, more people and cookies.

Room Tip: Book your room over the phone with them so you will get the room you like. We ended up staying in an...

We picked TOWERS AT NORTH MYRTLE BEACH thinking that it was in Myrtle Beach, when we figured out what we had done it was quite a disapponintment. Our daughter lives in myrtle beach, and our new grandaughter. We are used to staying close to them, but you see why we were so disapponited. But when we got to our room, it was more than we expected. The pictures on the internet didn't do it justice. Me, my boyfriend, his mother, and my mother stayed. My mother asked if it was too expensive, surprise, we got it cheaper than the hotels in myrtle beach. The only other problem we had was we didn't plan to cook and the only take out places were pizza, but we worked it out. The staff was friendly and accomidating. LOVED THE PLACE AND WILL STAY AGAIN

Brand new resort! Everything is updated; appliances, furniture, and so on. It was really really nice here and I felt a little spoiled staying here ;)
The pool area is pretty large; the waterslide was a huge sucess (I went down it myself). It is pitch black inside, so it's a little scary! But def fun!
The walk to the beach maybe takes 10 seconds :)
The only con was the sales rep I had (I forgot her name). But she was very forceful and "checked in with me" a few times, which was getting annoying. Next time, I will probably just tell the sales people I am broke so they leave me alone ;o)

Room Tip: I would choose an "ocean view" room next time ;)

For several years now our family has spent New Years at Myrtle Beach. The first year we stayed at Towers on the Grove and enjoyed it tremendously. The condos were perfrect and the resort was awesomely located in Cherry Grove and in walking distance to every need. The same held true this time, years later. It has become tradition be just relax, devote, reflect back & look forward, eat, watch sports, and be with the family!! Thanks again TOG for maintaining the standard.

This was a last minute trip and our choice of where to stay was based entirely on photos we saw online of the Towers. We were not dissapointed! It was just as beautiful as shown online. Our room was very nice, clean and the ocean view was exceptional. Felt very safe! The staff could not have been friendlier. Enjoyed the garden tub with jets. Enjoyed the Cherry Grove district and being able to walk to the IGA down the block as well as the Pancake House. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes, linens, dish detergent.... Pool towels are provided in your room in addition to regular bath towels. The beach was clean and steps from the hotel elevator. This was a weekend getaway for my husband and I to share some quiet time but we plan to take the kids back next month! Cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: ask for Ocean View room....

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012 via mobile

My family of six stayed here in November and found the property to be generally in very nice condition. We arrived very late and had a quick and effortless checkin with no congestion in the parking area. We did get a few calls asking us to attend a presentation about the property (i.e. sales presentation) but a few firm but polite "no" responses finally ended the calls. Our room was very nice and up-to-date and it was exceptionally clean. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the layout was perfect for our family. The pool is under part of the building, but still open-air. Even though it was heated, it was quite cool in November due to the air temperature and the wind. We knew the arrangement coming in, but also know that many larger resorts have true indoor pools for fall/winter quests. The elevators are super fast, and we rarely had to wait, even for our 20th floor room. The weakest link (and an important one for me) was the fitness center. I was very sparsely equipped (two treadmills, a barely functioning elliptical, some free hand weights, and an older all-in-one machine.) There were no exercise balls, no stationary bike, no mats...all things (along with decent elliptical or two) that most large hotels have. It is located on the 20th floor, though, and has an amazing view to the west. The location is a bit far from Myrtle Beach proper, but there is plenty to do/eat close by in Cherry Grove and in NMB. We enjoyed the quiet location and uncrowded beachfront. Overall, we were very please with the property.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

My wife and I took our first 3 night trip to the beach with our little 5 month old boy in tote. This was our first "family" trip with our little boy, so that will affect this review a bit. We reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo at Towers on the Grove in Cherry Grove Beach. The property is very nice, awesome outside lazy river, fantastic covered pool for kids and adults that don't want to get burned by the sun, and a nice slide for kids to go down into the pool. Also, a big hot tub outside with plenty of room for people where it doesn't make your feel awkward that you're sharing the same hot tub water with strangers. :)

The room itself was very nice, leather couch, cute little table and chairs, nice flat screen TV. good size kitchen, king and queen bed in rooms, and jet tub in master bedroom. What was weird, there was a queen bedroom in between the kitchen and the living room. so if you have a baby or kid and want to put them in the Queen bed room, then you don't get to have any of those late night snacks, tv shows, and hang out sessions on backporch with your sweetie because you'd be walking through your kids room a hundred times. So, my wife and I conceded and gave our 5 month old the king bedroom and jet tub room in the back so we could have the queen bedroom to have the freedom of movement throughout our condo. Pretty funny huh?

Balcony was a bit small for our liking, pretty cramped. And DO NOT get a room on the check-in floor. Who puts rooms on the check-in floor anyway? We were right off the lobby and heard every person and screaming kid running by in the hallway. Bad design in my opinion. So when you book, book something higher than the 3rd floor! And the only other thing we didn't like is we checked in at like 8:00pm, needed to give our baby a bottle, and it took like 20 minutes to check in because they wanted to talk to us about ownership of property there. Then they said they'd call us the next day to follow up and invite us to a seminar on property ownership as our child is fussing and needing a bottle. Come on, do new parents with a 5 month old really look like they'd want to sit through one of those condo presentations for an hour??? It's late, we don't want a call in the morning waking up our baby, and we don't want to sit through an hour long presentation getting pressured into a Wyndham property. Get with it. So I just called them back and said "don't call us tomorrow."

We would go back actually and get a 2 bedroom, 2 bath deluxe condo above the 3rd floor and I think our problems would basically be solved. Convenient location, a little stink that parking is across the street, but its not bad. Nice access to beach a pretty little park in between buildings.

This may seem like a negative review, it's not. It was a great stay, but the details were frustrating and now that we know, we'd handle it better next time.

Hope you have a great time and take our advice!

Room Tip: Above 3rd floor and away from the lobby and elevator.
