we are owners for five years.the one bedroom unit that we stayed in was functional,but needed an upgrade,and looked nothing like the unit that we bought from.the staff was wonderful,but do not go to the update meeting.it is nothing but a very hard sales pressure,the tell stories,they do not give you update info on your package,but torture the hell out of you to buy more.

Stay at shore crest every other yr. was very clean...the pool, hot tub and lazy river was very relaxing..room was nice also ..coffee pot was terrible could have use a better one made a mess all the time...and the sofa sleeper in need of a new mattress my back is still hurting from it...the rooms where well stock and everything you need ..Hated to leave and come back to realty...Be back in 2 yrs...since my mom is a time share owner there...

We were invited by friends who are owners to Shorecrest. There are 2 buildings, we stayed off the beach, however, it was a 5 minute walk from our 6 floor room to the beach through the front building. The room itself had 2 bedrooms, master on suite with sunk in tub (no jets), king bed, 2 bedroom had twin beds with a bathroom right across the entry way, and doors that closed that area off from the living area which made it perfect for the 4 of us. All the basics were provided, however, we just made sandwiches, toast and fruit for breakfast, etc, and ate out for dinner. (A place called California's delivered fantastic pizza one night!). Nice dishes, silverware , pots pans, microwave, decent fridge...perfect for a family. The air condo was top notch. Staff pleasant.

Area of north Myrtle Beach is all condos, to do anything except for the beach was a significant drive (downtown). There was quite a few restaurants and shopping about a 5 minute drive, but the road was far to busy to walk from this area, especially at night. It was a quiet place, no problem sleeping.

THE BAD: We had items stolen from our room. Kindle Fire, friends gold necklace, and a coin. These few things lead us to believe they were misplaced, surely they will show up! After searching high and low in the room, we went to management . Someone had accessed our room between 2:07 and 2:14 pm when we went to the beach. Police report made, management stated cost of items will be reimbursed. What was concerning was the fact that management admitted to a problem with theft. I'm not sure what steps were taken. These thieves are smart in the way that they only took a couple things, again, we thought we misplaced. There are no safes in any of these properties to the best of my knowledge. This should change.

Obviously, this left bad taste in my mouth, but the place was nice in a great beach location if that is your priority.

It was our first time staying here & we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly & courteous. Our room was extremely clean & had no odor problems. I was very happy that we had our own washer & dryer. We were even provided with detergent & a sponge for the dishes & some laundry detergent! The kitchen was well stocked but we ate out most days. Even the coffee maker was great. We have small children & cleanliness is a must. We saw maintenane cleaning the pools, lazy river and surrounding areas every morning. They were impeccable. I felt very reassured letting our kids play in the pool and hot tub - both indoor & outdoor. They had activities planned daily for kids as well as adults. There were only a few things that could use some improvement. The parking spots on the deck were too small & the faucet in the bathtub was not working properly. The water was not flowing out of it as it should. So my kids couldn't get their bubble bath as expected. And unless we woke up at the crack of dawn and put our towels to "claim" some of the pool chairs outside we were pretty much doomed for the rest of the day if we wanted pool chairs. But the rest of our stay in our hotel room more than made up for it. Someone mentioned that the elevators were slow but it's really not that big a deal. I would rather have had a great room and a slow elevator than a crappy room and fast elevator.
