My family and I went on a cruise at the end of December/ beginning of January. We spent the night at the Radisson Hotel on the Park-Stay-Cruise package. We paid $119 per night. This included a night at the hotel, buffet breakfast for two, parking for the week, and drop-off/ pick-up at the cruise port. The hotel itself was much better than expected. It is an older hotel that is in the process of a major renovation. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, so our carpet was clean. The hallway carpet had not been replaced yet, so it was dirty. I'm picky about hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much better than a lot of the reviews. We had one of the old clunker televisions, but it didn't work, so maintenance brought us a nice new flat screen (that took less than 10 minutes to get sorted out). We were told that they are replacing all of the televisions with flat screens. The beds were okay. There is a loud wall A/C/ Heating unit. The breakfast buffet was not bad (and it's in a decent sit down restaurant with waitress service-- our waitress was very busy but attentive). The fitness center only has 3 or 4 machines, and one of them did not work. The pool is indoors. We didn't take our laptop with us because we weren't planning to use it on the ship, so we ended up having to use the business center. The internet was not working. No problem, the manager allowed us to use her office to print out a cruise voucher that we needed. We were worried about the parking lot (where our cars sat for the week) based on some reviews, but those were unfounded. The parking lot appears to be secure. There is 24 hour surveillance. We left our luxury car there for a week with no problems--not even a scratch on the door.
I must mention that check-in was a bit chaotic. It seems that the person behind the desk was overwhelmed with our large group (the first wave included 10 people occupying 4 rooms) and we just kept coming. It took more than 30 minutes for us to get our key (and there were no other clients at the front desk when we arrived). Since we were having a good time, it didn't really bother anyone. However, we do have one major complaint, which should be mentioned by the website for those wishing to be picked up at the cruise terminal when they return. We waited over 1- 1/2 hours for pickup. And it was very C-O-L-D outside. You cannot call and reserve a van. You can call and let them know that you are waiting for pickup, and they will tell you how far out the driver is (we called multiple times and were given very inaccurate information on each call). Additionally, people kept "stealing" our van. It was quite frustrating!!!! The front desk personnel did warn us that we may have a wait for the van; however, we were only told that on the morning that we were leaving for our cruise (too late at that point).
Overall, the hotel itself was not bad. However, I would not recommend using them for pick up from the cruise terminal.
