Stylishly decorated rooms and public areas with furnishings that make you feel like you're in someone's guest room rather than a hotel room. Even-number rooms have view of a wooded area (as of this writing); odd-number rooms have view of the hotel parking lot and Hilton Garden Inn across the street.
The only odd aspect or downside to the room was the armoire containing the TV -- the doors opened out, but didn't fold back. Consequently, the extendable tray holding the TV set had to be pulled out to its full length in order to watch a program. And while the screen was visible from the sitting area and most of the bed, the armoire doors blocked the view from the desk or in front of the closet.
Cars leaving the Holiday Inn parking lot for the airport or Interstate have an advantage over Garden Inn guests in that the Holiday Inn is on the right side (facing I-526) of the multi-lane divided street, while vehicles exiting the Hilton Garden Inn have to turn left and wait for a break in traffic coming from the airport and I-526. Apparently the two hotels share the airport shuttle bus. A Wendy's is located in the Hilton Garden Inn parking lot; a Chili's (or similar) restaurant will share the Holiday Inn's parking lot soon (if it hasn't opened already -- construction appeared fairly complete in mid-August).
