Museum has a great display off equipment, and fire engines. Very interesting and informative. Great interaction and learning for kids!

“Worth going to”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Not many fire museums around. This was very reasonably priced and worth my time. A lot of antique equipment.

“Nice place with a couple of negatives...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

We spent an hour looking at the super shiney historic fire trucks and memorabilia today.

The collection of trucks really is remarkable and fun to photograph. The movie on fire hazards in the home was interesting and educational. The talking life-like fireman was a hit with my boys.

It was disappointing that the primary interactive theater that is the centerpiece of the museum experience was not operational...and based on the brass engraved sign stating it's closure, I'm guessing it is not just a short-term closure. Secondarily, the badge printer (another of the interactive elements) was also malfunctioning. Unfortunately we had no way to know this until after we spent 15 minutes trying to get it to work.

The gift shop is sparingly stocked and could do with some merchandising. We got t-shirts but there were no postcards, stickers, pencils, etc to be found.

We enjoyed our visit but wish the interactive parts had been operating at 100%.

Great museum. Even for toddlers that can stay put. The interactive fire truck and fire pole were really neat. Worth going to. Not huge, just the right size for kids!! Also tanger outlets in same driveway!! Moms could go shopping and boys to fire musuem!!!

“Very cool place with lots to see and do.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Kids love this place, and we liked it as it was free for military families in the summer. The fire move spooked our little one, but she loved the fire engines and the slides inside. Very well done and informative center.
