I was sorely disappointed with this hotel. This property is clearly in need of a serious makeover. The lobby area is fine, but the rooms and walkways show their age. You could see paint peeling and markings on most of the walls. The bedroom was also pretty dated - we had a suite, and the furnishings were all pretty old. Bathroom was basic, with the counter a bit lower than you would expect (my 4-yr old loved it, but my husband and I were hunching over the entire time). If you stay here, do it knowing that you're not getting one of the "renovated" Sheraton's that they advertise. Personally, next time I come into town, I will choose to stay somewhere else.

Oh, and a note to Platinum Starwood members - when asked about the "Platinum amenity", we were told there was a free breakfast on the concierge lounge. Not really an amenity at all, given the tininess of the lounge and dearth of breakfast options.

The hotel is very welcoming when you walk in - the people are genuinely glad to be of service. It is just of the interstate for easy access to downtown or to run out to the beaches. I stay here when I go back to my alumni "The Citadel" and hometown Summerville.

The resistant is top notch - have had friends and business associates meet me there for breakfast or lunch. The bar is great place to hang out - quiet enough to have a conversation while enjoying an adult beverage.

This is my second time staying here.. . this is a standard sheraton with club lounge option.

I was greeted by a pleasant young man Mr Reyes who was friendly and attentive; he placed me in a club lounge room and acknowledged my SPG Gold status. ..pleasure to deal with. The hotel is located to a nice outlet shopping center (Tanger Outlets) and is about 10-15 minutes away from Charleston. I had lived in Charleston before and it is great city but hotel prices are very high and this is good option to drive into town and the close proximity to airport helps espec if you have early am depature.

The hotel itself is standard Sheraton fare with club lounge (which i recommended) there is a pool and restaurant and bar. . . it isnt luxurious however it is inexpensive option for visiting an expensive city.

My Mom & I stayed here for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and Historic Charleston. We felt very safe in this location and eventhough it was on I-26 our room was very quiet. The entire property is non-smoking which is always a plus. There is a restaurant on-site. The beds were comfortable and there are seveal pillows for each bed. The bathroom has lots of counter space and a hot shower.A fridge would be a nice addition to the room. We would not hesitate to stay at the Charleston Sheraton again.
