My sister and I only stayed one night at the Rosemary Inn, but we were utterly charmed. The hosts were very welcoming. We had a good time chatting with them and exploring all of the nooks of the house. We stayed in the Magnolia Room, which was beautiful and overlooked the front patio area. One note is that this room, which is the smallest, can get very HOT (thermostat control is unfortunately not in the rooms) and I couldn't get the windows open. If you're a cool-temp sleeper and you're in this room, ask the owners about keeping the heat down at night--they will surely accommodate you! My sister, who had a med school interview the next morning and stayed up late preparing, definitely took advantage of the refreshment area on the second floor, which offers beverages and snacks for the guests. :P
Our hosts prepared us a lovely breakfast and did so an hour early (my sister had a med school interview that began at 8 am). Although it's been a few weeks, the remembrance of the meal still makes my mouth water--delicious eggs baked with herbs, waffles, and plenty of coffee! I wish we could have lingered over the meal longer. I was able to come back and take a nap in the room, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The owners of the Rosemary Inn have truly created something beautiful. The story of how they came to the place in a dilapidated state is all the more amazing once you see what they've done with it. A beautiful place!!
