Myrtle Beach, SC. is a really wonderful place to visit with your family. Although I would certainly not compare it in grandiosity with something like Disney World, it has enough things to keep families busy for an entire week. There are gorgeous beaches, especially Huntington Beach State Park. The parks and beaches are kept impeccable and the state of SC should pride itself on how wonderful a job they are doing in preserving their beautiful maritime forest. I was in awe at visiting the various places that make up Myrtle Beach and SC's diverse ecosystem. In the surrounding hamlets and seaside towns that run along the Grand Strand, you can see the ocean, the rivers, the cypress swamps, barren and deserted rice fields in the marshland, the intracostal waterway, fresh-water bodies, etc. What an amazing time we had here on our vacation. I love the climate, the people were generally very pleasant and courteous. The huge live oaks that are draped in Spanish moss are stunning, the birds are sweet, the ocean breezes are tranquility defined, let's not forget those beautiful tall palms. Lots to see and do, a variety of nice dining options and family-oriented attractions. The must-sees are Brookgreen Gardens, Nascar SpeedPark, Le Grande Cirque, Huntington Beach State Park.

Have been going to MB for 20 years and it has really gone down hill. They have torn down the pavilion and the boardwalk! The strip has turned into a joke and the hotels are falling apart. It really breaks my heart as i have had many many good times in MB, but will have to say that i will be finding a new place to go.

If your a family man and a golfer this is like heavan, the beach streatches for miles with clear water and plenty of activities, the variety of food is emense as well as the well stocked bars. I have been there over 10 times in the last 15 years and i could honestly say I would lilve their tomorrow. The golf courses are superb from the not so expensive public course would rival a decent £50.00 course over hear and then you have the opportunity to sample some of the great golf holes on a course which is sampled from the holes around the world called World tour Links. they had the senirio open there one year we were there at a club called the Dunes and we got to play it 7 days before the tournement which a day later they were shutting the course so it was perfect.

Myrtle beach is fantastic if you can get an early tee time you can then get back and spend the rest of the day with the family.

i have been going to myrtle beach for 10 years or more have stayed at differant motels but i have choosen holiday inn at thepavillon to be the best would not go any where else the rooms are clean the staff are very nice and helpful it is anice quiet motel would recomend it to any one try it you will have avery nice vacatio n igo to the beach 2 -3times each year i stay at holiday inn my home away from home rubydills shelby n.c.
