“Don't be swayed by bad reviews”

After reading the reviews on tripadvisor, I admit I was concerned we would be disappointed. The price for a 2 bedroom ocean front, however, could not be beat, so I booked anyway. Maybe we lucked out, but our room was neat and clean with a great view. The kitchen had essential items, though not the most complete set up I've seen. That will vary from unit to unit though. The street noise and fireworks were loud at night, but that would have been the case anywhere on the main drag. Every staff member we met was extremely friendly. We opted not to have maid service, but they actually called us when they saw our "Do not disturb" sign to be sure we didn't change our minds or need any supplies. We loved the breakfast! It was delish. The pools and beach area were well maintained. This was our first trip to the beach with our 1.5 year old. She had a ball and so did we. Our only regret is not staying one more night!

The staff was very friendly, I specified a particular view and received what I asked for. The full breakfast they served every morning was very good. The price of the condo was affordable. The only thing I found I didn't like was the bed was very uncomfortable, but over all our stay was enjoyable and would stay here again.

The only thing I did not like was the sofa bed. If my family was older it would have been an issue. It didn't bother me, I have slept on worse being in the military. I laid the comforter down to help but it didn't much. That was the only complaint we have.
Oh and I advise people to stay on a low floor because there are only 3 elevators for 23 floors...
We stayed on the 3rd floor so we just took the stairs. We will be coming back!

Upon arrival the staff is great and friendly...That is the only thing good about this place. The staff! We paid for an angle oceanfront 2br. We were told that it was oceanfront! We get up to our room...the balcony on the living room is an angle side view of the ocean and the bedroom is of the back street!! Not even an oceanview!! When we went down to tell them we thought we had the wrong room, they said that was the way all of their oceanfronts were?? But yet there are rooms directly on the front?! Those are one bedroom apparently! We feel like we were completely misled by the hotels website. We paid an oceanfront price, but recieved a barely side view! So disappointing seeing our favorite thing to do is watch the ocean at night after the kids are asleep. Will never stay at this place again. The second bedroom also only has a tiny shower. So if you are going as a couple with a child you may want to reconsider. The elevator also took you about 15 mins either way. The elevator attendance were also very kind. Sad they have to work at such a disgraceful place! No where near a resort...a hotel at best. Motel in my eyes. Put a little extra with your money, and stay somewhere else. We tried to leave but they were going to keep our 200 deposit. smh. We stayed June 30th-July 2nd. Best time we had was checking out and checking in to another resort. Hope this helps someone!

Room Tip: Look at your view and room in person before you book!

once again we stayed at the palace resort, overall a great deal for the money...many updates going on right now, rooms are all different as this building is condo's owned by all different people. some rooms are nicer that others. breakfast is a great deal, all rooms are either direct oceanfront or angle oceanfront...what a view...will go back again

This hotel was the worst we've stayed at in myrtle beach so far.It took forever to get an elevator. We waited for about 20 mins until we finally had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The room was not oceanfront like it was suppose to be it was more of an oceanview. The room wasn't very clean. The oven had crumbs and dried up food inside. The sheet on the boxspring had what appeared to be dried up throw up from the last people who stayed there. To top it off the bed had bed bugs.We brought an actual bed bug to the gm and she denied it being a bed bug and didn't do anything about it.It basically ruined our whole trip. I would never stay there again. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The rooms have a lot of room but they need a lot if maintenance. The doors need a lot of work. The mattresses need changed out. Other than that, it's right on the beach, beautiful view. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great.
