We checked in around 3:00pm and checked back out by 10:00pm that same day. My sister's family and I booked 2 separate rooms. I wound up getting an adjoining room to her family's room. In my room, I found food in the fridge. No telling how long that was in there. The fridge door would not shut completely without forcing it. The ice bucket had pieces of potato chips in the bottom. I was told that no linings were given out to get ice for the buckets. The TV in my room didn't have color so they brought a "spare" TV that had burned corners on the screen. The room door had to be slammed shut to close it properly. The ceiling had peelings and pieces hanging from threads. One of the pictures that was supposed to be hanging was sitting on the floor next to the bed. The wall had holes in it where I am assuming the picture was supposed to be. The carpets were so bad that walking around barefooted turned our feet black. Dirt and sand in the bed sheets as soon as we pulled down the bedspreads. Called Housekeeping and they insisted that we would have to change our own sheets b/c it was after the day shift. I guess they didn't do that sort of thing once the sun went down. Spoke with the manager early on and he was giving us a $50 credit. After the Housekeeping incident, we packed up, went downstairs, and called the manager to the front desk. He came down, looked at the desk help, and told them to issue a full refund then walked away without speaking to us. After we started arguing with the front desk about the money that was owed to us, the manager finally came out to talk to us only to threaten to call security then the police. He threatened to put my sister in jail if we didn't leave the premises. We were very upset of the fact that they cashed our checks and put charges on the credit card, but they wouldn't be able to issue a refund right there. When we checked in, we spoke to a man at the desk and they were prepared to issue cash refund on one of the rooms booked since one of our family members had to cancel. He was going to give it to us that day, but we credited that amount to our outstanding balances. So I asked the manager why this is a different story. He stated it was their policy that they would issue a check and mail it to our home. The credit to the card would take 7 - 10 days! He insisted we give him a name of the person we spoke with earlier. I told him we didn't remember. I said look at your employee log to see who was on. At that point he was getting very belligerent with us and sarcastically stated they have over 30 people working the front desk. So I said to him to pull his log sheets to see who was working at 3:00pm and he insisted to call security to get us out of his hair. So here we are trying to have a vacation with our family with no extra cash! Definitely a "No Customer Service" oriented establishment. These are all connected with Sands Beach Club, Sands Dunes, etc. So if this place was this bad, think before you book at other affiliated locations.
