My boyfriend and I had a King Jacuzzi suite on the 17th floor. The room was clean and roomy with a very small kitchen area. The hotel itself was nice. I can't complain about the pools or cleanliness. We mostly stayed out by the ocean though because lounge chairs near the pool were never available until well after 3 or so in the afternoon. The lady checking us in was very friendly and the housekeepers seemed friendly. My only problems were minor faults within the room, and one major fault. We only had a mini fridge, and it seemed to take 2 to 3 full days to get up to a good cool temperature. We opted to instead use the free ice from the machine just down from our room to keep our milk and other drinks in our cooler. The oven of the stove didn't bake evenly, so I had a difficult time baking biscuits. We had a large flat screen tv in the living room and a large balcony. The jacuzzi tub area of our room was nice and surrounded by mirrors. We always had plenty of towels. This room was certainly nothing from a 5 star resort, but it was adequate for the most part. The shower had no shelving, so shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream and such had to be set on the floor of the shower, and there was no place to hang your washcloth, except dangling around the shower head. I liked having the double sinks seperate from the shower and commode area. There were sliding doors that were supposed to separate the living room from the bedroom, but one of those were off track and would not shut. No big deal since we were the only 2 staying in the room, but had we had guests on the sleeper sofa, this could have been a problem. I'm not sure if all the rooms were this way, but we could only access the balcony from the bedroom. If there used to be access from the living area, that door must have been replaced with solid glass. My biggest problem with the room was the mattress on the king sized bed. This thing was like sleeping on the sidewalk. Hard as a rock! When we first checked in, the sign out front was advertising spring air mattresses in the rooms. I'm not sure what a spring air mattress is, but I'm positive our room didn't have one! Because of this, I will probably try a different hotel on my next visit to the area. We didn't hear any noise from the hallways, but this may have been due to there were only 5 rooms on the 17th floor. I would also have liked to heard some live music, dj, or something out on the pool deck. There was a nice little tiki bar and a grill area to buy burgers and such, but otherwise, this area was rather boring. The hotel next door had live entertainment at least twice that week that we could hear while laying out on the beach. Parking was inconvenient at times. There was plenty across the street in lots and also a small parking garage, but if you come back late at night, plan on parking in the lot farthest away. This is not a congested area so crossing the street wasn't a problem. There is a Starbucks and restuarant next door, but otherwise, there is nothing here to walk to. No shops nearby.
