If you stay here, don't use the pool and hot tubs. My wife and I received a bad skin rash and bleached both our suits almost white. When we notified the manager, Mr. Richard Arsenault, he advised us that his pool receives high marks from inspectors and that we must have stayed in too long. ----!
We had noticed during our stay that the restroom close to the pool was always locked so I guess they are using extra chorine to counter all the urine in the pool. Stay there at your own risk because the management acted like they couldn't care less!

After reviewing Trip Advisor in regards to staying at the Landmark Resort, my family and I were a little afraid of staying at the Resort. My daughter was participating in a Dance Convention at the Hotel, and we were afraid that the hotel would not be to our liking (clean, respectful staff, etc).

Upon arrival, we were pleased with the respectful staff. The room was above average. It was clean, and that was awesome, because we were really skeptical based on the reviews. The conference was great. The pool area was really nice, and my husband and children, as well as myself really enjoyed the lazy rivers.

We did order room service for breakfast one morning, and we were not able to receive the breakfast because the service was too slow.

We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the area was very quiet. I'm sure due to it being off season.
This resort is under major renovations, and I and my family would not mind visiting Myrtle Beach and staying there again.

Blood Stains On The Sheets (Was Offered A 10% Discount)

This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had in travel. My wife and daughter slept on a wall pull out bed that had blood stained dirty sheets. The blood stains were under the pillows and were not visible until the next day when we took the pillows off of the bed. When I brought this to the attention of management they told me that it could have been my wife or daughters blood so they could not do anything for me. I showed them the sheet and the pillows (there was not any blood on the pillows, so it could not have been from us) and they told me that there wasn't anything that they could do. The manager told us that the sheets had to be clean because they wash all of the sheets after people stay in the room. THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE CASE!!! There were also water stains on the ceilings to go along with these unsanitary bed sheets! I have pictures, but they are in my father-in-law's cell phone. I will add them later if possible. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!

Always a pleasurable experience

For three years our group of 5 large families staid at the Landmark. We always had a more than pleasurable experience and could not wait to return. Last year we booked too late and we were forced to stay at a larger more expensive hotel. Yes, the experience was also nice there but we felt loyal to the Landmark and felt that we received the same services, more swimming areas and the same ocean view for less of our hard earned money by staying at the Landmark. This year we are already booked for April vacation at the Landmark and we are very excited. We never experienced any of the horror stories that are mentioned on this sight. The pools were always up and working. I do admit that the elevators were a minor set back at times but during spring break there are alot of children there going up and down. That is to be expected. As long as we continue to receive that same hospitality, we are life long loyal patrons.

Walk and Wait

I did go at one of the busiest times of the year but it seemed like all we did was walk or wait. 2-3 elevators were broke down each day. It was a very long walk to the parking garage. The room was old and needed remodeling. Maid service was fair. The only plus was the pools. They had many pools.
