“Amazing STAY!!!”

We loved this ocean view condo!!! Words cannot express the time we had here, it was a overall wonderful trip from the time I walked in my 1 bedroom grand room. I was given an upgrade from the front sales clerk and they were so nice and pleasant. After a long drive from Atlanta I have to say the service, room, and overall stay exceeded my expectations. I was here from June 13 to June 17 and each day was a blast! There were more than enough pools and my son couldn't get enough of the kiddie pool which had a million sections for play! I would recommend this resort to anyone with a family, or even on a honey moon. It wasn't over-crowded or loud which was a plus for me! It was also very clean and again service was amazing, I ran out of wash cloths, called the service desk and room service was there in 2 minutes literally! I don't want to write forever but again, this was an Amazing stay and I had a wonderful vacation! Oh and the 1 bedroom grand would fit up to 4 people, the pull out sofa was a queen size, it also has a huge kitchen with appliances, and nice dinning area! Have a great vacay!! It's close to everything!

We are owners of this property. Read this review carefully. We travel here in odd years. First of all the scheduling as an owners is one of the WORST experiences you will ever have. You have to schedule ELEVEN months out then you are ALWAYS told there is nothing available. You must put up a horrendous fight and then after a day or two of bickering suddenly something that you OWN becomes available for you to use. We have spoken with multiple owners on this trip before writing this review with the same issue. This has happened every year.

The next issue becomes parking and the lack of it. You will see the beginnings of parking structure but one can only assume that the economy halted that project. There is some parking across the street but you will feel terribly insecure and unsafe. This brings met to the next item. The rooms in "building10" are in terrible need of remodel. They are small and poorly done. Every time we get here we are so disappointed to see them. We have been in four different rooms in the same building and they are all the same cheap, in disrepair and claustrophobic. There is a loud dishwasher, mini fridge, and adequate utensils.

All the pools are nice. They are small and overcrowded at all times. There is also an area available for children, however the water in that is unheated and our children ages 3 & 6 remain uninterested because its always "freezing". Access to the ocean is done at only one location. You must keep this in mind of you have young children or carrying anything at all to the beach because it will be quite a haul from your room there and back. The resort will supply you with chairs if you call down in advance, we have still waited up to half an hour twice for those accommodations. The chairs they supply you with you must carry to the beach yourselves and they are older wooden chairs that are awkward and heavy.

One last thing. Don't fall for the timeshare presentation. None of the things we were told EIGHT years ago have yet to come to light. They will show you an awesome 3D rendering of the property but upon calculations of common sense you will see that IT WON'T WORK. Remember if you become owners you will struggle trying to schedule here.

Thank you for your feedback. Floating owners, those who don't have set reservation, need to notify us when they would like to come to the resort. Due to the overwhelming popularity of summertime months at Myrtle Beach, our finite number of owner units fill up earlier rather than later. We give our owners the opportunity to book units as far out as 11 months, and we will gladly check availability for them as often as they would like to check back, just in case openings arise. We apologize if the parking has been an issue for you. Our construction of additional parking had been temporarily halted and will resume as soon as possible. We do not have a building 10, but have just completed a full and comprehensive renovation of our hotel units. Additionally, improvements to all buildings are ongoing. We thank you for your suggestions, as they give us opportunities to improve. We thank you for your wise investment in vacations at our oceanfront resort and we look forward to having the chance to exceed your expectations on your future visits.

This was an impromptu trip. First I was surprised I got a room one day in advance, with a dog to boot. The resort is awesome. We were ocean front on the 12th floor. The staff were nice and friendly. We did not get asked but once at checkin if we wanted a tour for timeshare or buying a condo. The only problem we have was parking. For 300/night I expected better. My husband is disabled which I told them upfront. I thought VIP parking meant we would be there on the complex, but that was not the case especially our last night which ruined the whole ambience of the trip. A very rude guard shack person called us a liar about where the other security person had been letting us park and used offensive language. We later saw the original security people and they told us to go immediately and report it. Our concerns were really listened to by the manager who took notes and made a phone call to security supervisor in our presence. I feel they really care. He knew we could take our money somewhere else next time. I will go back and will recommend to my friends

The staff at the Westgate Resort were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed! We would highly recommend this resort especially if your traveling with your pet. Parking was ample and safe, lots of nearby activities for families and most within walking distance. The cleanliness of the resort and grounds were excellent. This was our first time staying at the Westgate and we are looking forward to staying there again.

Came to Myrtle Beach for the first time on a long weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The staff, especially J-Ann and TJ, were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The view from our room was beautiful and we enjoyed walks along the beach. The room was clean, but the walls are a bit thin and there were some loud neighbors, some very late. Overall we were pleased and would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Ask for the ocean view as opposed to the city view.

Just a real estate ploy to get you to to attend a timeshare meeting and get you to buy. Pics are not of the rentals. They are of the timeshare rooms available for purchase. We were told by Westgate booking person that we had a one bedroom suite overlooking the water park and the beach. We looked at the parking lot and roof below us with all of the air-conditioning units making loud noises, at an amusement park across the street, listened to rowdy people and revving motor cycles all night. Not to mention the blackout blinds didn't block the lights from the amusement park. The fridge didn't work and was smaller than the cube fridge I had in college. We were also told we would have a microwave in our room so I packed popcorn and coffee singles to use. No microwave and were told by the front desk they were in owner rooms, not guest rooms.

Love this resort. Room was awsome, the view was awsome. Employees were great. We had a Ocean Fron Villa, with a Jacuzzi, living room, dining area. Two balconies. The living room had a pull out sofa. We also had a Kitchen, washer and dry. Great resort. Right across the street from the Family Kindom amusement park, right next door to the water park.
