Stayed over the weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. We had a villa with a jacuzzi and yes it was definitely a 2 person jacuzzi. Looking forward to taking the children back. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and beautiful.

Only down side it is pet friendly and at times the smell of wet dogs was evident in the air.

We exchanged thru II for Christmas week in Myrtle Beach. We normally stay at Marriott's as this is where we own. But this was all that was available on short notice. We stayed in the tower (others are correct the old part is creepy). We were pleased with our one bedroom unit (traded view for size). The only problem was the microwave died but they replaced it within an hour. Great job! Pool area looked decent as did the fitness area. The location is great - short walk to the boardwalk.

The only down side is the resort is pet friendly and the pet owners are not very responsible. Pet dropping were very evident. And the halls and elevator smelled of wet dogs. Really took the edge off an otherwise great stay!

We stayed at the sideview Villa with the jet tub beside the bed. The room was amazing and beautiful. The staff was friendly and nice.

Con: Something reeked in the garbage disposal. The jet tub leaked and maintence had to keep coming up to dry the carpet. Weird black stuff came out of the jet tub which made me get out.

We had an extra timeshare getaway and decided to try Myrtle Beach and Westgate. We are Marriott owners at Harbour Town, Hilton Head and exchange into resorts over much of Europe. This resort did not compare to any place we have traveled. The rooms were small and furnished on the low end. Our unit was a lock off from another and the wall/ door between rooms was thin, we heard our neighbors constantly. The resort bar had 3 wine choices, red, white or rose with only one each. We have always been given a list of resort activities or they have been posted many places on site. We found none however we did receive a voice mail in room that all activities one day were canceled. There was no concierge to recommend dining or other activities.
We do understand the resort is still in process of being built however we were in the new tower. The actual property where resort is located is beautiful, great beach area.
This could be an Ok family place in future however for a well traveled couple this is not the place.
