“Perfect Family Resort.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

The Dunes Village Resort is a perfect family resort. There were a multitude of activities for children and adults alike. The full kitchen family suite made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very large, and had a wonderful jetted tub. The indoor waterparks have multiple slides and whirlpools. The outdoor pool is kept abundantly heated for winter. The food in both restaurants was wonderful. I can not say enough about the customer service. The hotel employees at the pools, front desk, and restaurants were super helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I must say that i really enjoyed my stay at first. The rooms were very roomy and up to date. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. The staff was very kind, helpful, and courteous. But then........ The next day i begin to itch on my arms, side, and legs. The itching turn into rashes, and bumps. The first little bit went away but then more popped up and more aggressive this time. I slept with only boxer shorts on and my girlfriend wore and a top. So you know who got it the worst. I recently contact them about some sort of compensation for it bit i have yet to hear back from them. I hope that they will be willing to handle this professional because i really like the property but o feel like i was dinner for some need bugs.

I am sorry that your stay at Dunes Village Resort was troublesome for you. With our vigorous pest control program, I certainly hope bed bugs were not the culprit for your discomfort. I am sure that by now someone has contacted you regarding this, and I hope that we will see you again in the future.

If you are looking for a great place to stay, this place beats them all. They have two indoor water parks. These parks are fun for all ages, "for kids from one to ninety-two". The rooms were huge, beds comfortable, view outstanding, and room enough for the entire family. We got the suite with four bedrooms; each room had two queens and it's own bath (no sharing). Everyone was so nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant is exceptional. The worst part of this visit was having to leave.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the huge balcony (7th floor) north side if you want a place for kids to play o...

The Dunes Village Resort is a great family resort! They offer a wide array of amenities for relaxation and kids activities. Most excitingly, the hotel offers not one, but two amazing indoor water parks on-site with thrilling water slides. The hotel offers a wide variety of on-site dining from two restaurants, a poolside bar/grill, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet in The Admirals Room is fantastic, along with the service. The service and food is also great in the resorts other restaurant, Captain's Cafe. (The fried chicken and Caesar salad is great!) The hotel also offers a hand-dandy gift shop with souvenirs and items you may have left at home. The resort is mainly for families, perhaps another resort if you wish to have a more adult-like relaxation time. I would definitely return to this oceanfront resort.

Room Tip: The oceanfront rooms are definitely worth the extra money, as well as condo's and suites.

This resort is a wonderful family get away. Although during our recent stay they were making some renovations, we were granted breakfast and a discount for our slight disappointment. (two of the slides were closed) We will be back to stay at this wonderful place on the ocean. We love to go and just not leave. The kids are entertained by golf, water slides, play ground and more. This is truly a family tradition and the sunrise is heaven from the balcony!

We celebrated our mom's 80th birthday at Dunes Village Resort and dined in the "Admirals Room Restaurant" on 12/01/12...the "Chef" and all the servers and bartender were "EXCELLENT"...they provided wonderful food and service..they made the event very memorable and went above and beyond to provide good service and food..our decision to dine at the hotel was perfect..we had 18 family members dining and everyone enjoyed their meals...and on a personal note to the staff "thanks for wearing the silly hats"!!!

Dune Village is a quality resort with lots of activities offered. They have something for everyone. The indoor water parks are nice to have when the weather is cold outside. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet is probably one of the best I have had at any resort before. The staff is courteous and friendly. The area is also prime for being close to many attractions, but also located in an area of the beach that is more private and quiet. This resort is ideal for families, but also is nice for couples as well. I look forward to our next visit to Dunes Village.

Room Tip: beachfront and high floor is optimal
